It's true....I love cards!Love to make cards and I'll tell you truthfully I really love to receive cards!
It is said that the practice of sending cards can be traced back to the ancient Chinese, who exchanged messages of good will to celebrate the New Year, and to the early Egyptians, who conveyed their greetings on papyrus scrolls.
By the 1850s, the greeting card had been transformed from a relatively expensive, handmade and hand-delivered gift(Jane Austen fans can relate to this!) to a popular and affordable means of personal communication, due largely to advances in printing and mechanization, as well as in 1840 introduction of the postage stamp.
We're tickled to join in on World Card Making Day! This is a day that is designated a holiday for card makers around the world to celebrate the creation of handmade cards and the connection that they create between friends and family when they are mailed, shared or given. It's also a day to get a jump start on your holiday cards!

Our very talented Christine Ousley made our beautiful sketch for World Cardmaking Day!
I love the jingle bells on Kristen's card, the use of the Flutter Butter stickers on Christine's, Robyn's & Patti's dimensional butterfly,Juliana's ribbon details and Dee's sweet sentiment....and many other details as you can see...
