Green Tangerines - Store showcase

ROAD TRIP..............  Who wants to go with me??

Today's post is all about a EXCELLENT store in CALI

A big hello to all you Bo Bunny fans checking in today! This is Kelly and Paula the mother/daughter duo that started Green Tangerines and we are tickled pink to be featured here today!

A little about us… or in scrapper lingo “10 things to love about our store”:

  • our store is just over 10,000 sq feet… making us one of the largest in the U.S.A.
  • we opened in 2007 and have enjoyed spending the last 5 years meeting new customers, friends, and the fun faces behind all the vendors! The gals at Bo Bunny are a hoot to spend time with at CHA even using song and dance to get us excited about new releases
  • we are blessed to have a phenomenal store manager backed by an amazing staff of scrappers standing by to help and have an uber talented 16 person design team who use great products like Bo Bunny to inspire you

  • we stock over 100 vendors… and over 25,000 unique items
  • Bo bunny has been in our store since day one, and has been a top ranked vendor by our customers for 5 years straight…therefore, we stock every line Bo Bunny makes… papers, embellishments, and books
  • we stock over 700 colors of cardstock… you can match every Bo Bunny line perfectly

  • we make fabulous page kits and teach classes using beautiful Bo Bunny products
  • we have a giant workshop and classroom area with comfy leather chairs that is open for you to come scrap with all your Bo Bunny products
  • three times a year we hold fabulous 3 day weekend retreats, where you get to come scrap, eat, meet new friends, socialize, and scrap some more!! During this retreats we giveaway lots of loot and love to giveaway Bo Bunny since it’s a customer favorite!

  • our store is located in the wonderful state of California, Rocklin to be exact, smack dab between Lake Tahoe and Napa Valley… which means… you can plan a vacation… get hubby a few glasses of wine… then tell him you are making a pit stop at a scrapbook store along the way… and there is a sportsman warehouse across the street to ditch hubby at so you can spend hours here without any complaints!

Thanks Bo Bunny for putting us in the spotlight today! You guys are an incredible company and
we love all the creative ideas and fabulous support you bring to this awesome industry!
It’s always a pleasure working with you!

Mixin' things up!

Today's post is showing how we don't have to just
use one collection of paper when making a layout.
It's fun to mix and match collections and create your own combinations!

Ones Destination
by Juliana Michaels
Designer Tips: I used the colors from the photos to help select the colors of patterned papers for my layout. I looked for papers that had the color wanted and I was able to find neutral patterns that were perfect for these photos. I also fussy cut the map and globe images from the Detour Globe Trotting paper and used them to create a lighter colored background paper by layering them on the Camp A Lot Dot paper.

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Dot/Camp A Lot; Boxes, Stripe/Mistletoe; Baggage Claim, Globe Trotting and Cut Outs/Detour; Poppies/Serenade
Stickers: Home Sweet Hotel Cardstock Sticker/ Detour; Serenade Dimensional Stickers
Jewels: Serenity

Treasure the Moment
by Tomoko Takahashi

 Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Tomoko, Garden/ Serenity, Serenade, Dot, Dragonfly, Stripe, Sunrise, Trellis, Cut Outs/ Serenade
Noteworthy: Serenade
Rub-ons: Serenade
Trinkets: Apple Cider

All colours
Romy Veul
Designer Tip: Papers from a different collection can make a perfect accent on your lay-out.
The neutral Ambrosia paper was the perfect paper to balance the warm colours in my lay-out.
Also don't hesitate to use stamps or embellishments from different collections.
They often match surprisingly well.

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned paper: Dot, Hickory, Orchard, Stripe/ Apple Cider; Sunflower/ Forever Fall; Trellis/ Ambrosia
Blossoms: Denim Daisy
Jewels: Apple Cider
Chipboard: Apple Cider Layered Chipboard
Noteworthy: Apple Cider, Forever Fall
Stamps: Ambrosia, Serenade

I hope you all are enjoying fall and the beautiful colors and the crisp
weather. Don't forget to join our blog hop tomorrow for
World Card Making Day.  Have a good one!!

First up today, we have Tara.
Tara said, "My only goal/resolution for the upcoming year is to try to calm down and relax - let the little things go. "

Sew Dang Cute with the Scor Buddy!

Today we have more projects created using the Scor-Buddy! This week we have teamed up with Scor-Pal for a little blog hop of inspiration!  Scor-Pal was so very generous and sent each of our designers a Scor-Buddy to work with.  The Scor-Pal is an amazing and versatile scoring tool that simplifies paper folding for such crafts as card making and scrapbooking.  We are continuing the blog hop today by sharing some of the projects created by our Bo Bunny designers combining the Scor-Buddy with various Bo Bunny products and sewing!

Emma & Boots
by Juliana Michaels

I love how Juliana punched the edges of the paper and then used the Scor Buddy to score the cardstock to make her flowers.

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Geography, Watermark, Index, Filigree Die Cut/ Et Cetera
Jewels: Et Cetera
Trinkets: Et Cetera, Welcome Home
Petals: Et Cetera
Chipboard: Et Cetera 12 x 12 and Chunky Chips Alpha
Trim: Chiffon Rose/Olivia

Designer Note: The Scor-Buddy was used to create the flowers which were then embellished with the Bo Bunny Jewels. For more detailed information you can visit Juliana's blog at http://17turtles.blogspot.com.

(Little Thing Called) Love
Tara Orr

Tara also punched the edges of her paper and then scored it with the Scor Buddy to create her flowers. She used a different border punch to give her flowers a whole different look!

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Lovin' You, Love Spell, Eye Candy, Hot Lips/Smoochable
Cardstock Stickers: Hugs & Kisses: Smoochable
Noteworthy: Smoochable
Combo Stickers: Smoochable
Buttons: Smoochable
Double Dot Cardstock: Chiffron Journal
Scor-Buddy: Scor-Pal

MWAAH!
by Carin McDonough
Look at the pleated border and scored back ground Carin created with her Scor Buddy! I am in love with the effect the scoring made on the background of the heart. It reminds me of one of those old fashioned push pin boards.

Bo Bunny Products :
Patterned papers : Heartstrings, Huggable, Hot Lips, Lovin You/Smoochable
Cardstock : Coordinating Double Dot Chocolate
Chipboard : Smoochable 12x12 Chipboard
Stickers : Smoochable Combo stickers
Noteworthy : Smoochable Noteworthy
Jewels : Smoochable Jewels
Scor-Buddy

I have used the Scor Buddy to make the ruffle under the heart by scoring every 1/4 and then every 1/2 inch it makes it so much easier and neater than folding it freehand! I also used the Scor Buddy to score patterns on my heart and my title and then accentented them with some jewels and ink.

Card Set
Robbie Herring

How clever is this? Robbie used the Scor Buddy to create stitching guides on her cards. Just score and then stitch over the lines! How smart!

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Double-Dot Cardstock: Clover Dot, Harvest Dot and Mustard Dot
Noteworthy: Forever Fall
Buttons: Forever Fall
Stickers: Forever Fall Combo and Gratitude
Double Dot ribbon: Clover and Burnt Orange
Other: DMC Embroidery Floss

Designer Tip: When stitching on cards, use tape instead of knots to secure floss. This will keep the backside fairly flat and make it easy to attach paper or cardstock to the inside of the card to give a finished look.

We hope that you have been inspired by the various projects created by the Bo Bunny designers today!  Now you must stop by the Scor-Pal blog and check out their creations!  We guarantee that more inspiration awaits you!!!
