Game On! and Pentart Lasur Gel Indoor with Ginny

It's party time Paper Peeps!  I've got a fun selection of sport themed party décor created with the new Game On collection.  There's a festive banner with multiple sports represented, pennant picks to dress up baked goodies, and jazzed up straws in a box decorated with a banner and crinkle cut filler.

Isn't this a fun grouping?  I love all the little coordinating details.

I used the Lasur Gel Stain in Chestnut to add color to a tiny box that came in the mail with washi tape. Because the box was shiny the finish has a mottled effect that looks a bit like wood grain. I filled it with floral foam and added crinkle cut kraft paper then inserted the straws that were decorated with  a sport tag simply by cutting notches on the top and bottom and sliding the straw through.  Additional stars are used to accent the tags. They were leftovers from the die cuts that are added to the banner. This display would make a great centerpiece.

Can't get any easier than adding pennants to long wooden picks and inserting them into baked treats.

I choose to represent all the sports for this banner with a section for each and strung them together with coordinating ribbon and fussy cut tickets hung between.

For a consistent look I used the same background paper and striped topper. Orange borders tie the whole thing together.

It's very important to remember to use metal eyelets at the tops of banner to keep the ribbons from pulling through.  Adding the die cut stars helps to add texture and detail.

Soooo many layers! These banner sections have a lot of depth and dimension with the spacers between the layers.

Okay that's all for me. We are ready to get our party on!!! Wishing all of you a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

Stunning Winter Wishes 1 Layout 3 Way!

Hey there paper Peeps. Today I'm sharing 1 layout 3 ways. This is a fabulous way to show the stages of design for a project that can be clean and simple all the way through fully decked out. Each step could represent a finished layout...but I am a more is better person so layout 3 is for sure right up my alley.

A Moment in Time Scrapbook Page by Ginny Nemchak using BoBunny Winter Wishes

For the first step I layered many of the patterned papers from the Winter Wishes Collection with the fussy cut picture and used the Noteworthy elements to accent.  I tattered the edges and highlighted them with Pentart Silver Antique Paste. Using silver cardstock helps to separate the patterns and coordinates well the snowy details. It's really lovely at this stage....but more is better!!!

Two tags are tucked in behind and helps to bring the arrangement up into the top corner. With the Winter Fun Stickable Stencil and Primer Paste Gesso and Pentart Structure Paste I added the snowflake details layering them onto the background as well as the Noteworthy elements and tags.

And now with all the finishing touches it's my favorite version. To give a frosty effect I added a generous amount of Sugar Glitter Paste on the tags and center frame section.  The chipboard sentiment is a subtle accent finished with layers of coordinating embossing powders. Frosting Jewels helps to evoke movement.  I've incorporated the Layered Chipboard Sticker to anchor the bottom of the pictures and to hide unfinished edges.  Using the patterned papers I created flowers that match perfectly and are topped off with, Pentart 3D Balls and Sugar glitter. Last but not least a fine line of Pentart 3D powder to emulate snow.  Special thanks to friend Missy for allowing me to use this picture of her gorgeous daughter taken before homecoming.

Tis the Season Container Cozies!

Hey there Paper Peeps!  Ginny here to share a fun holiday project just perfect for your next Christmas or winter party.  The first thing that came to mind was a way to display fixins for a hot cocoa station. You gotta have marshmallows and candy canes and  a fun way to stir your drink. Tis The Season Collection has really great holiday images and patterns in traditional colors which are my favorite for home décor.

Containers for food items should be washable so I started with wide mouth mason jars and created cozies to slip them into.  Display them just as they are....or layer them in front of a wreath with a tiny tag banner created with the chipboard tags.

I used the  Double Dot paper in Cranberry to create the box.  There is no bottom to the box making them really easy to fold up and store flat  after the season is over.

There are 3 cozies  shown here but you could create more to serve other toppings. Maybe make another set of 3 that are a bit shorter for smaller jars and stagger them to create a multi-level display. Can you ever have enough varieties of toppings??? I say no you can not!

The layered Chipboard in the Tis The Season collection has cute ornament shapes with a Joy sentiment perfect to add over die cuts from the patterned papers.  There's also a great coordinating stripe as a background.

Other snack foods could be displayed in these jar cozies like peanuts or candies.  Wouldn't it be fun to create many of these to serve the goodies for your party then let the guests take one home as a party favor????  I'll be making these for every holiday now.

Wonderfully Wicked Card!

Hey there Peeps! It's Ginny here dropping in to share a spooktacular Halloween project I created with Wonderfully Wicked and Tuxedo Double Dot Brads.  I'm also sharing a fun technique to customize the BoBunny Blossoms to coordinate with a fun and festive holiday card.

The Haunted Mansion Card by Ginny Nemchak using BoBunny Wonderfully Wicked

I loved how the Clover Zinnia BoBunny Blossom coordinated with the collection but why not take it up a notch and make them a little more Halloweeny?  I very carefully divided the flower into 3 sections....the top was a little pokey so I left it out...but the other two sections were a great base to add  trimmed spider webs from the patterned paper and secure them with a Double Dot Brad.  You can see that I snipped between the webbing and used my shaping tool and mat to give them some dimension.

I added the feathers to accent the Layered Chipboard Owl.

Securing the smaller bloom closer to the top helps to balance the arrangement.

There's a lot of layers here...but I used solid black cardstock borders to keep the patterns from getting smashed up.

While I had all the patterned papers out I went ahead and finished the inside of the card as well. This card could be used as a fun addition to holiday décor sitting on a mantle or shelf.

BoBunny Supplies:

Patterned Paper: Wonderfully Wicked, Apothecary, Creepy, The Daily Curse, Magic, 6x6 Paper Pad

Chipboard: Layered Chipboard, 12x12/ Wonderfully Wicked

Noteworthy: Wonderfully Wicked

Double Dot Brads: Tuxedo

BoBunny Blossoms: Clover Zinnia

That's all for me. Wishing all of you a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G
