Your Local Landscape

Happy Saturday!  We hope everyone is or does have a wonderful weekend! Today the Bo Bunny designers are sharing layouts created using photos of the local landscape where they live.  Each one is different since they are each from different places all around the world!
Irene shared this about her layout: "The photograph is actually a puddle of water on the road side which coincidently reflects the image of one of the chinese old heritage building in Penang. Penang is a well known old heritage city. This photograph did not just reflects the landscape here but also reflects my ethnicity."

Gifts for Mom

With Mother's Day right around the corner, the design team is sharing some gift ideas with you.  As you all know, moms like to receive handmade gifts and no one appreciates them quite as much as a mom! So, why not pull out your Bo Bunny collections and put together a sweet and thoughtful gift for your mom this year?  The design team has come up with some ideas to inspire you.

You Are the Best
Jolanda Meurs

Jolanda has come up with a couple of adorable little boxes to package fragrances and to also include a little message for mom.  These would be perfect for mom to keep and store trinkets in even after Mother's Day.

Flower Gift Box and Ring
By Juliana Michaels

Juliana also did a box to hold her gift.  She even made a sweet and fashionable ring using a Bo Bunny Button!  How terrific is this?  The rose on top is so beautiful, I would be tempted to use it as a corsage on Mother's Day!

Thursday Stamping Tutorial

Todays tutorial is brought to you by Carin McDonough. She decided to create a stamping tutorial as she is so enjoying using her Bo Bunny Ambrosia stamps. It is such a clever idea- using your stamps as masks!
Anyway, without further ado, on with the tut! :0)

Here is a look at the layout you will complete.......
An up close view of the "masked" stamped image
Step 1:
Draw 4 wavy, entertwined lines accross your page lightly in pencil from corner to corner
Step 2:
Put your photo more or less where you want it and then use some punched butterflies to work out where you want your butterflies stamped.
Step 3:
Stamp butterflies in various sizes with clear embossing ink and then heat emboss with white embossing powder. I used a glittery white embossing powder.
Step 4:
Use two pieces of paper to mark off the area you don't want to mist and then mist your chosen area. I used Tattered Angels Starfish Glimmermist.

Step 5:
As soon as you have sprayed your mist use a tissue to blot any excess ink off the embossed sections.

Step 6:
Use some paper again to cover up the part of your paper you have already sprayed and then spray the other sections. I used Patina Glimmer mist.

Step 7:
Machine or hand stitch along your pencil lines (hopefully you sew straighter than me!) and use an eraser to rub out any visible pencil lines.
Step 8:
Cut a frame out from the Ambrosia Cut Outs paper and cut your photo down to fit inside it.

Step 9:
Cut some flowers out from the Ambrosia Flowers paper. Ink the edges and then roll the petals around the back of a paintbrush to give them some dimension.
Step 10:
Paint around the edges of your layout with some white acrylic paint.

Step 11:
Stick your photo in place, add some chipboard and any other embelishments or title that you would like. Stick your flowers along your stitched lines and add jewels to the centers of the flowers and on any crosses of your stitched lines.
..........and there you have it!
I'm sure you'll agree a wonderful way to use our stamps!
