Focus on Hello Sunshine (Part II)

Hello Sunshine is such a cheerful and happy collection, it has all the elements that sing 'Summer' for your scrapbook pages, cards and projects!  Today we asked some of our design team members to make up a project of their choice using this beautiful collection.  As you soak in some visual inspiration, check out the designer tips as well, it's so interesting to see inside the mind of some our designers to see how they put a project together!

"Beelieve You Can Card"
by Debbie Sherman
I love Debbie's cute title, the sweet play on words reflecting the bumble bee embellishment she used on her card!
Designer Tip: To give your project consistency, repeat a pattern such as a border on all your edges, and the honeycomb embellishments, it will make the person receiving the card look at the details. Also add embellishimenst in odd numbers such as 1, 3, 5, 7.

Cardstock: Double Dot in Buttercup
Jewels: Hello Sunshine
Rub-ons: Hello Sunshine

"It's a Party Card"
by Romy Veul
Who wouldn't be thrilled to find an invitation as beautiful as this one in the mail?  Romy did a lovely job of layering all her chipboard and cut accents!  Aren't those cute little bee's peeking out from the blooms adorable?

Designer Tip: This collection has some wonderful flower patterns that are perfect for fussy cutting. To create a little dimension in my card, I created clusters of fussy cut, rub-on and dimensional sticker flowers. You could also layer fussy cut flowers with 3D-tape to create the same dimensional look with a minimum of products. For some extra details you could decorate them with liquid pearls or stickles for example.

"Time to Daydream"
by Samantha Wright
I just love the extra large size photo Samantha used on this layout!  And what a heartwarming sweet photo it is!  The colors in this collection so prefectly compliment the photo!

Journaling: " A beautiful moment in time-captured forever. An afternoon in the lovely winter sunshine.... Lost in happy thought. Gammy, Rikki and Maggie. 01-06-2012"

Designers tip: When scrapping a photo as large as this I like to frame it somehow on the page. In this layout I created identical borders along both top and bottom edge. Also, by limiting the number of embellishments you use, you ensure that the large photo remains your focal point.

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Dot, Little Things, Hello Sunshine, Cut Outs/ Hello Sunshine
Stickers: Combo Stickers, Dimensional stickers/ Hello Sunshine
Chipboard: Hello Sunshine 12" Chipboard
Jewels: Hello Sunshine/ Forever Fall

Don't these projects just put a smile on your face?  Are you looking to get some of those summer photo's scrapped?  School's almost over, wouldn't this collection be perfect for a darling 'Thank-you' card for your childs teacher?  What are you looking forward to doing with this collection?

Hello Sunshine

Today we are showcasing the brand new and adorably cute collection, Hello Sunshine.  We asked the designers to create and share some projects with your made from this collections.  Each of them has some great tips and ideas that are sure to inspire your next creation!

Rub ons: Hello Sunshine
Buttons: Hello Sunshine
Jewels: Hello Sunshine
Pad 6x6": Hello Sunshine
Chipboard: 12" Hello Sunshine

Simple Fun | Robbie Herring

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Hello Sunshine, Picnic, Dot, Daydream and Cut Outs.
Cardstock: Aquamarine Dot
Stickers: Hello Sunshine Combo
Brads: Hello Sunshine
Chipboard: Hello Sunshine
Petals: Hello Sunshine
Ribbon: Burnt Orange Dot, Buttercup Dot, Clover Dot

Designer Tip: Consider pulling design ideas directly from your pictures. Because Laynee's little shirt and bow had orange polka dots, I had the idea to use some orange polka dot ribbon. I pulled the green and yellow from the photo, too. Finally, I decided to mimic the three primary colors with the banners that I cut out.

Take Time to Dream | Juliana Michaels

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Hello Sunshine
Noteworthy: Hello Sunshine
Chipboard: 12" Hello Sunshine
Petals: Hello Sunshine
Jewels: Hello Sunshine

Designer Tip: Don't be afraid to stretch your stash.  I love to cut the Noteworthy die cuts into pieces to spread them out on my page or even to save and use the rest on another layout.  On this layout, I cut the honeycomb piece into 3 sections and then placed them in a visual triangle on the page.  The die cut that I journaled on it cut as well, so that the bottom edge could show just below the photo.
Prior to cutting the honeycomb die cut apart, I lightly misted it, wrinkled it up and then let it dry. Once dry, I flattened it out and inked the edges.  I used this same method to distress the Hello Sunshine petals as I created the layered flowers.

If you are inspired by what you see today, stay tuned tomorrow as another group of Bo Bunny designers share a few more projects created using Hello Sunshine!!!
