Designer tip: Take inspiration from the patterned papers you are using. When tasked with this banner assignment, I knew which paper collection I'd like to use, so it was just a case of brainstorming and "paging through" my paper stack when I noticed the row of little bird cages on the Cut Out sheet and that sparked my banner idea! The large bird cages also hint at the banner idea!

Adam's Room Banner

Designer Tip: The great thing about making a banner is you have room to add anything you want! At each end of my banner, I had room to add the trees I cut out of the 12x12 Camp-A-Lot sheet

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Camp-A-Lot Mini Album
Camp-A-Lot Combo Stickers
Camp-A-Lot Dimensional Stickers
Camp-A-Lot Chipboard

Alrighty then.... I "BAN" each of you to your scrap room until you
come out with a fabulous banner project.  Make sure you share it with us on facebook.

I can "DOODLE" that!

Today's quick and easy tip is to doodle...  Isn't that fun to say. Doodle. Say it with me... Doodle.
It makes me smile and so do these layouts the girls have come up with.

You will NEVER guess it by these layouts, but the girls claimed to have had
a hard time with these.  Phffft...  They seriously could do good work with their eyes closed.

Tip : The 6x6 paper pads are perfect to keep for making embelishments for your page like I have done with my banners. Firstly you don't have to cut into lots of 12x12 papers if you want various patterns and secondly the pattern is on a smaller scale so it looks better for smaller cut outs. The fun thing about doodling is that is does not need to be perfect so don't be afraid to just put your pen down and doodle! the fun thing about doodling.

Bo Bunny Supplies:

Vroom
by: Debbie Sherman

When you're creating a layout for a fun event try adding a little doodling to your layout. It gives the viewer the impression that not only the photo of the event was fun but creating the layout was just as fun! Trace around the page in a carefree manner and frame elements to make them stand out! You'll have fun doing it and your page will reflect fun!

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper:On The Go Vroom, Choo Choo, Cut Outs
Stickers: Friendship Cardstock Sticker;
Dimensional Stickers: On The Go
Jewels: On The Go
Noteworthy: On The Go
Chipboard: On The Go 12x12 Chipboard

Designer Tip: In my layout above, I've added a layer to the design by simply adding a line in between the cardstock and doodle some scallop edges to it. To make doodling easier, I've masked some leaves on the layout and use a black pen to outline them. I've also used a white gel pen to draw some simple details on the leaves.

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Sunset, Firewood/Camp-A-Lot
Cardstock: Double Dot in Chocolate Vintage
Stickers: Camp-A-Lot Combo Sticker
Buttons: Camp-A-Lot
Petals: Camp-A Lot

Are you feeling it????
Go grab a pen and layout and start doodling.
But wait, first leave a comment and let us know what you think about today's layouts.

Designer Showcase - Luzma Bruna

Today's focus is our cute Design Team member

Luz has been with Bo Bunny for 2 years and we adore her.  She has such a fun style and is always sharing new techniques!  Today she made a layout to show another one of her loves...

She says: "With this layout I want to share one of my other passions, knitting so here I´m showing some of my newest yarns that are waiting for a new sweater or something else."

I love how Luz has splattered acrylic paints on her layout above...  I also love that she kept the layout neutral and then added the pops of the pink/red hues!  So warm and cozy and I can't wait to see the sweater she makes with it.  (Luz... if you need a suggestion on what to make, I have the perfect sweater in mind and I'll totally tell you my size. ha ha ha)

What a fun idea to scrap your passions in life.  Wouldn't you all love to be able to read about or look back at the things your mom was passionate about?  I know I would.  It's the simple things like this that seem to be forgotten in all the hub bub we call life.

I love all the extra character Luz puts into the layout too by adding extra pen stitching! It's a technique I forget about until I'm reminded by such a FAB layout!!

Here is the beautiful Luzma!

And here is a picture of her fun scrap space... I would love to be able to visit Chili and spend an afternoon with Luz...

We are so lucky to have such an amazing designer on our team and get to spend time with her and enjoy her creations!!!
Thanks for stopping by and make sure to show Luz some love!
You guys are the best!!!

hee hee hee... just to see if anyone is reading all the way to the bottom of the post, here is the sweater I think Luz should make..
