Fun Technique

Funny thing...  I tried calling in sick today with the "monochromatic"
but they called me on my bluff and told me to define "monochromatic."

Monochromatic - having tones of one color in addition to the ground hue.

Good thing I love my job, and good thing playing with a monochromatic
theme on our scrapbook projects can be so much fun!

Designer Tip: "Cut pieces of pattern paper into strips of various widths and
positions the strips in random order.
In this way, I received an interesting background for pictures of my cat."
Agnieszka is a master at mixing collections...
Can you believe she used 7, count them, 7, different collections on this one layout!
What a good way to use up scraps.

Distressing

Today we have a layout made by Mahlin Wiggur.
I love that she used the Ocean Vintage Double Dot,
It makes her layout POP!!

SPEED
Mahlin Wiggur
The quote on the layout translate to:
" As long as you have your training wheels you fly away with such speed. "
 Designer tip:
"I like edge distressing and layering my papers and I don´t worry especially if I get the paper torn.
I just make it a part of the distressing. I also like to fold and crumple the edges a bit extra for
that little extra dimension.
I use both mist (which i splash onto my layout with the nozzle, tapping it firmly) and gesso. A great thing is that you can distress your gesso by wiping it carefully with a baby wipe."
Supplies:
Patterned Paper:  Stripe, Dot, Bounty, Afternoon/Apple Cider
Double Dot Paper: Ocean Vintage
Petals:  Apple Cider
Trinkets: Apple Cider
Jewels: Apple Cider
Combo Sticker: Little Miss

Isn't this layout fun!!  I bought some Gesso and have played with it a little
in an art journal, but haven't used it on a layout yet.  I think Mahlin has
inspired me to try it...  How about you guys?
