CHA Winter 2013 Pics

We just wanted to share some of our fun pictures from CHA Winter. Some of these you may have already seen on facebook, but there are a lot more too. Our booth was so fun. I'm sad we don't have many closeups, but all the table cloths and chair covers were all handmade, tea dyed doilies, lace and burlap. Jan has been sewing like mad these past few weeks to get ready for the show and everything was just GORGEOUS! Our ladies even dyed and sewed doilies, lace and pearls for their cute jackets.

Check out the table cloth and hand distressed tin roofing!

We gotta have some good food!

Our back wall, isn't that old screen door fantastic!?

That wreath is made up of our new DOILIES!

We're working with our BB formula today....
This is to inspire you and show that it doesn't take a lot of time & money to make a fabulous layout when you have fabulous product.

We've used two of our new collections...

AND

Here's the formula...
and here are the layouts

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper : Mama-Razzi, Contrast, Strike a Pose/Mama-Razzi2
Cardstock : Coffee Vintage Double Dot

Stickers : Mama-Razzi Combo Stickers
Chipboard : Mama-Razzi Layered Chipboard

"This is what was left after I had done my layout. As you can see there is still loads of stickers and chipboard and I always keep the strips of cardstock and patterned paper to use for layers, die cutting, punched shapes or to punch strips with a edge punch. The best part here is because I used the Contrast paper I have all those gorgeous little 4x6 and 3x4 journaling and decorative blocks to go in a Misc me album!"

Tip: Choose papers that have lots of elements to fussy cut and that also have backsides that allow for extra elements. I used the square elements in the Darkroom paper to anchor my design. It gave me a lot of different prints for the blocks, too.
Stitching can add a ton of detail. If you want to keep it quick, instead of stitching along the lines, just add piercing at the corners and places that you want your stops to be. (see close-ups) When using this technique, use all 6 strands of floss.
BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Mama-Razzi 2 Tripod, Darkroom and Contrast
Stickers: Mama-Razzi 2 Combo Sticker

Buttons: Mama-Razzi 2
Cardstock: Double Dot Burnt Orange Vintage

Now a small test....  what trick did we learn to make stitching easier??? Our new lines have started shipping, so watch for them at your local stores and online stores. We can't wait to see what you come up with.

Retailer Feature: Dynamic Specialties in Newport, WA

Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the thriving little town of Newport population around 1,200 is a picturesque destination where I have called home for 35 years.  In 1995, I started my business Dynamic Specialties that specializes in commercial signs, stickers, embroidery, silk screening and custom logos designing . Over the years, I grown to service 10 plus states and designed more than 10,000 logos.

A few years ago my daughter in law Monica told me it was time to get serious about scrapbooking.  Monica has a business called Scrapabilities and made me come to her classes and not  watch her children (my grandchildren).   I had heard of scrapbooking  and knew a lot of people doing it and knew it was a little overwhelming, expensive and time consuming. I just felt at the time my focus was my business.   Seeing the projects Monica did impressed me and as my grandchildren were growing so fast I realized that I had better get serious about capturing the moments and memories.  Graphic Designing is the main focus of my business, so I figured that this should be really simple.  I realized that I was overwhelmed by all of it a first but also couldn’t believe how interesting it was.  I dug in and of course I got hooked big time.  Now I am exstremely involved and a big fan of Bo Bunny products.  I am also able to incorporate my sign supplies into scrapbooking and scrapbooking into my buisness.

Monica set up a monthly get together at our local school to sell her scrapbook supplies and teach classes.  I really realized that our scrapbookers’ needed a little more motivation so I started buying the Bo Bunny kits.  Well this turned out very success for the both of us as we sold the embellishment’s and paper for these kits.  We then started the program kit of the month and this was extremely successful.  Now I am comfortable in making kits and page layouts to sell at our classes along with all the Bo Bunny products.  Besides the monthly classes I put together scrapbook camp retreats.  I am also going to my local women’s shelter soon and will be putting on a retreat for over 80 homeless women and children.  My dream is to help them establish a scrapbook store through local charities and volunteers.

Helping others get the tools to put their memories to pages and eliminating the intimidating thought of just getting started has become my passion. Some of the tools I teach and use are Bo Bunny products of course. Once I found Bo Bunny, I quickly became a regular and steady customer. I enjoy their on-going  offers, page layouts and class kits classes.   Using Bo Bunny products, I have been able to put together my own kits that help encourage and inspire my customers.  I have included a number of layout ideas that use the items included in my kits. I have heard from a number of my customers that these kits help complete their projects much faster than they anticipated and kept the cost down. Bo Bunny offers a wonderful array of items that can be used in a variety of ways. Everyone knows that scrapbooking can be an expensive hobby, but it doesn’t have to be with a few creative ideas and methods.

I took for example the theme “Camp A Lot and made quite a few items and still have supplies left over to do many more.

These are the projects I did:  The Camp-A-Lot Mini 6” Album, One 12” page layout, Two 12”page layout and a 6”  album book “Let The Adventure begin!”  I combined all these projects with buying only the following supplies one of each.

Camp-A-Lot theme I used the following:  Camp-A-Lot Album 6”, 6” board album blanks, 6x6 paper pad, Combo Stickers, Nature’s Playground Stickers, Fireside Fun Stickers, 12 x 12 Chipboard, Dimensional Stickers, Layered Chipboard, Noteworthy, Trinkets, Brads, Petals, Jewels, Collection Paper pack, misc ribbon, blims and glitter glue, chalk, glue

Camp-A-Album

One page layout:

 Two page layout:

 “Let The Adventure begin”

I also designed a 6” album called “The Zoo” (I used the Zoo theme products to make this album.)

I want to thank Bo Bunny so much for all their great products that help me to continue to make my memories cherishable  forever.

Sincerely,
Imo Jones
