Make a Splash and Pentart Lasur for Indoor/Outdoor with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new and cute post today on the BoBunny blog.

Sometimes making a design project can be tricky when you are asked to use only certain products. Working with the bright and cute collection Make a Splash and using Pentart Outdoor Lasur paint in wood colors only.  I was definitely up to the challenge to meet the requirements of Fine Art Friday.

So here is my project made with everything and I think that it's funny and cute and really lovely one.

Summer Fun by Irit Shalom

This wooden frame was in my stash for ages and finally, with BoBunnys help, it got a new life.

First I painted the frame with Pentart Outdoor Chestnut Lasur paint and I purposely painted it to look "imperfect".

Then I added some lines and dots using BoBunny Sugar Glitter Paste and some stencils. When dry this paste looks quite clear as you can see.

The inside wooden piece was covered with different patterns from 6*6'' Make a Splash paper pad. And then each single piece was altered with different art medium, paints and stamps.

The upper right window was made with Summertime stencil and Orange Glitter Paste. Then I added a few jewels and the golden "Summer" art of the title was made with Gold Foil Transfers.

The lower right window was misted with Frost Glimmer Mist and then the image from the new stamp set Life's a Beach was stamped twice, colored and made into 3D shape.
The sand was imitated using white gesso, 3D Balls small and Gold Glimmer spray.
Even the chipboard penguin got some alteration with black Contour Liner dots.  It's so simple to add a little color on color texture that has a big WOW!

The upper left window got another 3D stamped image of Sandcastles inside. The sand this time was made from crackle paste and the same Gold Glimmer spray.

On the top I added a few clear flower stickers (not seen on this photo).

The layered chipboard Fun sticker made the second part of the title.

The small middle window was covered with a dolphin from vellum paper page.

The lower left window was altered with a few mediums.
First I made the waves with stencil and texture paste. Then they were misted with Frost spray and painted with Teal Metallic acrylic paint.
I added stamped seahorse that was hand cut and covered with gold contour liner dots.Starfish were stamped over the waves and more waves were stamped inside the window.

And now to more close ups to this piece full of fun media and technique.

And the last look at the full project:

It's not summer yet, but I feel that it's near. Really.

Hugs!

Irit

Make a Splash and Pentart Lasur for Indoor/Outdoor with Shizuka

Hello BoBunny Friends! It's Shizuka here today.

For our blog this time I made a photo frame with BoBunny "Make A Splash" collection and Pentart Lasur.  This paper collection is very cute, it made me feel happy making it.

First I painted the wood frame with Pentart Lasur walnut paint. This paint is convenient without obscuring the underlying grain of the wood.

Next I applied a blue lasur paint to some crumpled up plastic wrap and applied the color with a light tap, applying the color.  By doing this you can color randomly.

After the first paint dried, I added Oak Lasur Gel and further added BoBunny Gold Glimmer Spray and white Gesso.

Then I used the images cut out from the pattern paper on the frame.

I used the 3D Balls this time without any color to appear as rocks and sand. Do you like the look of the sandy beach or snow?

I hope you enjoyed my project!

Thank you!!

Shizuka!

Make a Splash and Pentart Indoo/Outdoor Lasur with Solange

Hello Everyone!! It's Solange Marques here and today I'll share with you One Layout-Three Ways.

Here we can see three different stages of creative process. I've used the fun paper collection "Make a Splash".

For the first stage, I've just extended the blue of the water on the photo on the background using acrylic paints.  I've also applied Pentart Lasur on the stencil. This technique allows the fishes to be slightly transparent, to see the background color through the green.

On the second stage, I've painted some wood pieces using Pentart Lasur and I've added them on the layout .

Finally I've added some cut outs from "Make a Splash"  collection , clear stickers and drops of watercolor:

Make a Splash and Pentart Lasur for Indoor/Outdoor with Irene

Hello BoBunny Fans! It's Irene here!. For today's Technique Tuesday post, I will share a very simple technique using gesso as a resist paint. I've created a canvas to demonstrate this technique.

Travel The World Altered Canvas by Irene Tan using BoBunny Make A Splash Collection

I've used the fun and beautiful "Make A Splash" collection by BoBunny to create this canvas. This canvas is filled with textures and dimensions. Here are some details on it.

Now, let's move on to the step by step tutorial on how to create the background for this canvas using the gesso as resist technique.

Travel The World Altered Canvas by Irene Tan using BoBunny Make A Splash Collection

Step 1) You will need some white gesso, a palette paint knife, a canvas and the "Under The Sea" stickable stencil. Put the stencil on top of the canvas and use a palette knife to apply some white gesso on top of it. To get a more dimensional and textured image, apply a generous amount of gesso. Let it dry completely.

Step 2) When the gesso is all dried, use a brush to apply some Pentart Lasur Outdoor and Indoor Paint on it. I've used the color olive for this step.

Step 3) Next, mist some BoBunny's frost glimmer spray on top of the canvas. While it is still wet, also mist some water over it to create some blending.

Step 4) For more depth, I've used a brush to add some Pentart Lasur Indoor and Outdoor paint (Ebony) in the middle of the canvas. Then, I've mist it again with water for blending.

Step 5) Use a wet tissue and light dab on the areas with white gesso. This will remove some of the paint on top of it. I did not remove all of the paint because I want a more natural blending look for this canvas. You can dry the whole canvas with a heating tool.

Step 6) For the last step, to create the dimensional shell on the bottom of the canvas, I've used a stencil from the "Under the Sea" stencil, a palette knife and some BoBunny Caribbean glitter paste. Put the stencil over the canvas and apply the glitter paste over it generously. You will have a nice sparkly dimensional shell when it is dry.

Make a Splash and Pentart Lasur Indoor/Outdoor use with Katherine

Hello Everyone!  Katherine here with some Misc Me! pocket pages using Make a Splash.  I love the vibrant colours in this range of papers, and also the coordinating stamps which feature heavily on my pages. Ready, set, go!

I like to embellish my photos when I make pocket pages, if you are worried about sticking things on your photos, then you can always embellish the pocket so that your photo stays underneath.  I've used a mix of the chipboard and layered chipboard stickers, as well as the sunglasses emoji die - I think I am going to have to attach some of these to paperclips for my kids to use as school - as they were quite taken with them!

I used some of the Pentart Lasur paint in blue to create a watercolour effect on this card, I started by painting my white card with water and then I dripped little bits of the Lasur paint onto it - just a little bit goes a long way.  After that I used some of the Captured stamps for the words and the new Doodle stamps for a black border on the side.  They were topped off with some glittery glasses from the 3D chipboard.

This pocket is made almost entirely with the 'Life's a Beach' stamps and a mix of the papers and some Lasur gel paint.  I started by painting some white card with an area of green and yellow Lasur paint - the amount of pigment in the paint is really good so a little bit goes a long way, it dries quickly too. Once this was done I stamped over the top with archival ink and also stamped on one of the coordinating 6" papers.  I cut out some waves from a mixture of the 6" papers, and then punched a circle for the sun, stamped my sandcastle and the Summer at the Beach banner.  I cut them all up and layered them on.

For this page I embellished one of the journal cards that comes on the papers with phrases from the 6" pad, adding some of the new clear stickers too.

Again I used lots of the colourful phrases from the 6" pad, adding some bling in between them, and the sunglasses that were part of the waste from the emoji die-cut.

Make A Splash and Pentart Mixed Media with Elena

Hello!

Elena S. here today!  I want to show you the cheerful Party of Penguins made for a children's holiday! I used the tremendous collection Make a Splash! Cheerful figures of penguins, cockleshells, palm trees give this a wonderful look! And for a base I have taken an old cigar box which has been painted with Pentart mixed media.  For the general background I have taken two pages to start from this fun collection!

Let's look and we will plunge into the anxiously anticipated time of year - warm, carefree summer!

At first I have covered the box in Gesso white.

Then I have added a little of Pentart's 2 component Cracking Paint System.

And for a background it is a little Creamy Acrylic Blue.

The sea background has turned out!

This fun seaside adventure of penguins can be used also at a children's birthday party, and at friendly parties in sea style, and just to create the wonderful summer atmosphere with children and to dream together of long-awaited summer!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

Have a nice day!
