Game On! and Pentart Mixed Media with Marilyn

Hello everyone! Marilyn here and I'd like to share with you a vintage, rusted mixed media layout that I made with the new Game On collection and the Pentart Patina products.

I started taking a piece of wrinkled tissue paper and adhered to my base paper called Cards.  I applied Primer Gesso to the paper tissue, then I added the Patina effect powder only in some areas while the gesso still wet and mixed it with a paintbrush. Then I applied Liquid Patina over the tissue paper to produce a nice aged effect.  Another technique is to apply gesso, then sprinkle patina effect powder, then drip the patina effect reagents to the area for a different and cool aged copper look.

I added more textures to the background with the Lace Stickable Stencil and the Pentart Primer Gesso.
I made many layers with the Noteworthy die cut pieces and the chipboards from the Game On collection.

I added 3D Powder with the Express glue on the background.

To finish, I added blossoms, brads, jewels then I made some white and brown paint splatters..  I'm really loving how this turned out.  I hope you do too.

Game On! and Pentart Patina Effect with Elena O.

It's Elena here with you today and I've got a very fun project to share with you.

It's the Football frame - mini album I made using Game On Collection

It was such a fun to create it

My son is a football player since he has started to walk, no jokes, he determined that this is the best thing to do in life. So that is why I decided to create a "skyline" frame with the pictures taken during one of his games.

The papers are quite bold, but it was quite easy to combine the patterns

and to add the chipboard and other embellishments

I only painted the small areas with the acrylic paints by Pentart

I mostly cut out the banners from the paper sheet

To embellish the cover I used the die cut with alphas and die cut them from the thick cardboard

Then I covered them with gesso layer, and while it was still wet, I added Patina powder. To make everything mix , I applied few drops of reagent of light blue and green colors.

The look was really cool. It can be used for just touches on your project, or full backgorunds. Very cool.

However since it was the cover , I decided to protect the alphas, so I applied a layer of matte varnish.

After everything has dried, the color on the alphas came through and they became more bold.

I also misted the cover with the spray and applied acrylic paints between the alphas.

These are the mixed media product I used to create my project:

Pentart Patina Effects paired with Game On! with Ginny

Hey there my BoBunny Peeps! I'm sharing a set of tags today that I think would make a fabulous addition to a boys bedroom décor.  And I don't mean just little itty bitty guys.....these tags are working a sport theme that could be enjoyed right into their teen years. Or maybe even hung in a man cave.

I started with large chipboard tags that were altered with the Patina Effects from Pentart which is pretty awesome and I will be using it on everything now. It was so easy to use and created a really cool aged looking background.  Give it a try!

Using similar elements I created two tags that are different but coordinate perfectly and can be displayed together.

The locker background was cut from the 12 x 12 paper and created a great base for all the other bits.

The Noteworthy collection has so many fun elements to layer.  Matching the jersey to the correct sport items seemed like the right thing to do.

A pennant banner is always a great way to bring the details to the top of your project.

I used some star embellishments to add some metallic touches.

Whenever I add lots of layers I like to utilize foam spacers between to keep them from looking like a jumbled mess. It also adds great dimension!

It was so much fun to pull the details from the variety of products in the Game On Collection...like the chipboard ticket sticker with glittery words.  Last but not least....simple roping to create a loopy bow with long tails to display the tags on. Even though they are on super sturdy chipboard...they are still light enough to hang easily.

Okay that's all for me. I hope you enjoyed viewing these tags as much I did creating them.
