Down by the Sea and Home Decor with Ayumi

Hello Bo Bunny fans! It's Ayumi here and for today's post, I would like to share a mobile that is perfect for summer decorations. Today's mobile features the Down by the Sea collection by BoBunny and Cracking Paint products by Pentart.

Mermaid Mobile by Ayumi

When the wind wipes it shakes and it is cool.

Mermaid comes out.

The top of the mobile looks like this.

I wrapped the net in the embroidery frame and pasted the shells.  Honestly, you can whatever nautical details you want with shells, glitter, ropes, metal trinkets. etc.

The seashells bits and pieces are covered with Pearlescents to give this project an extra sparkle with the all important splash of color. 

When you colored with Pearlescents, the mostly matte surface on the shells will be beautifully transformed as a sparkling sheen.

This made cracks using Pentart 's Cracking Paint System.Cracks can easily be done!

Down by the Sea and Pentart Crackle with Ginny

Hey there BoBunny Peeps! I'm just so thrilled that my first assignment with the fabby new collections is Down by the Sea. Our little family spends our Christmas  holiday at the beach so we always have lots of pictures of our adventures to scrap with.  I'm using an older picture for this layout as my boys were so cute and little and time goes so fast.

For the first phase of this 3 way layout I'm blocking in the basic design by layering cut-aparts, die cut doilies, clock, elements from the Noteworthy collection as well as texture from the new Pentart Stencil Paste and Fancy Flourishes Stencil. The giant chipboard tag is finished with the Creamy Acrylic Paints and Crackle Medium.  This crackle medium is perfect for me as I'm an inpatient crafter and waiting for the medium to dry is like torture for me....but with the Pentart Crackle you can speed up the process with a heat tool. It resulted in a really fabulous look with no waiting!!!!

For phase 2 I added scripty stamping around the edges with coordinating ink and the new Take Note Stamp then topped off the texture flourishes with Double Dot Jewels. Adding the shell order strip helps to anchor the striped cut apart and break up the large pattern.

Last but not least...... Chipboard and Layered Chipboard Stickers topped of with additional Noteworthy elements.

Down by the Sea and Pentart Crackle with Rhonda

Gift Idea: Artists Tray with Rhonda

Greetings and welcome to Sunday Funday on the blog! I have a project featuring the Down By The Sea collection and the Pentart Cracking Paint System. We recently took a vacation to Florida and spent a bit of time at the ocean. This collection was perfect for my photos!

I found this artist tray at my local craft store on clearance and thought it would be perfect to showcase this collection and my photos. This is also such a perfect gift for Mother's Day or Father's Day. I prepared the tray by painting my Cracking Paint System 1, let dry and then applied the Cracking Paint System 2 in White on top and set aside to dry and crack.

While the tray was drying, I measured the compartments and started trimming a variety of the papers, then I selected the photos that I wanted to print. I started with a 4x6 that I could cut in half for the focal center of the tray, then I printed smaller 2x3 photos to use in the opposite corners.

I cut several pretty die cut elements out from our new dies, used them in a few of the compartments. I also used bits from the fabulous Noteworthy package and of course, embellished with some Chipboard, Layered Chipboard and Double Dot Jewels.

Once I had the tray completed, I decided to accent the plain white crackle, so I mixed some Glimmer Spray in Frost and Mint to make a pretty aqua color to coordinate with the collection. I lightly brushed it on with a medium flat paintbrush.

I love how the Pentart Cracking Paint is so versatile and it took the color of the Glimmer Spray so nicely, I could control the depth of color easily.
