Faith, Fine Art and Mixed Media with Elena O.

Hello Friends, it's Elena with you today.

I am sharing two mixed media cards I made for my post.

I love mixing mixed media techniques with fussy cutting on my projects. If it comes to cards - it's the most pleasant creative process I like to enjoy each time.

I created two cards. I covered the half of my background with the paper from 6x6 Faith Pad and for the rest of the background - I did some misting, stenciling and coloring.

First I used acrylic primer for my base, it's white and dries so fast. After that using the stickable stencils I applied the structure paste on my background, but actually I chose the intricate design and I needed something more smooth. So I tried the gel paste, which was a great choice for this technique.

Its' transparent, dries fast too and has a super cool 3D effect. Then I misted the stenciled areas with the BoBunny sprays in Mint and Blue.

Later I continued my composition using the Noteworthy pieces, the die cuts and the fussy cut flowers.

Then I added more color using the acrylic paints.

I also add the coloring on the cut out elements. and to make it look more sparkling I added the gems and pearls in different colors. I also added some drops of Pearlescents.

It was really so fun to play with all the colors.

I created an oh-so-light coloring on the die cuts too,

To finish, these are the supplies I've used for my project.

Hope you have enjoyed it!!!

Tutorial Thursday with Ombretta Featuring Pentart Ivory Resin

Hi Everyone and welcome to the BoBunny Blog,

Today I would like to share with you a little design project, a small vintage mirror, using
two beautiful Pentart items: Ivory Resin and  Mirror Mist for Plastic.  Very cool.

The Ivory Resin is easy to use. Just mix the solution A 'with
solution B in a ratio of 1:1.  There are measurement cups and a stirrer included.

Place this finished mixutre into a mold and wait for 30/40
minutes. for it to harden.  For other projects, you can remove sooner for a semi-pliable product.

The resin reproduces every detail of the mold and has the same color
of true ivory . . . it is really beautiful.  the end result can be inked or colored with alcol ink if you desire.
The mirror spray is very easy too to use,

All you need to do is sprinkle it on the
back of a transparent piece plastic to make it a mirror.  Here, as you can see I have upcycled a plastic lid.  There is another formulation especially for use on glass, You can finish with Mirror Mist varnish to seal the coating.

Creating a mirror, in any size and most any clear material becomes a
game ... almost magic!

Look, at this finished project, the mirro surface is a smooth and nicely reflective mirror!

Weekend Adventures and Mixed Media with Rhonda

Out and About- 1 Layout 3 Ways with Rhonda

BoBunny One Layout Three Ways featuring Weekend Adventures and Pentart Stencil Paste designed by Rhonda Van Ginkel

Greetings to you, I am excited to share my layout created in three degrees of difficulty today, otherwise known as "1 Layout 3 Ways".  The Weekend Adventures collection has such a fun array of patterns and designs to it as you will soon see.

The image above is a very basic design or "Level 1" that you can create using the pattern papers in the collection along with some Noteworthy pieces. I did a bit of cut work for the oval layer with the floral that allows me to tuck my photo within.

Level 2, building in a few more pieces into the collage here, I have included some chipboard elements and additional sentiments while keeping the rest of the design mixed media free.

Level 3, I worked in a few base pattern paper layers and added some Stamping, Glimmer Spray splatters along with a bit of Stencils and Pentart Stencil Paste. A variety of Dot Jewels are added as accents. To add a bit more dimension I also included some Layered Chipboard pieces.

I love the glitter accents of the Layered Chipboard pieces!

The two top layers are stitched on and edges gently distressed. Foam adhesive squares added so much texture on the page. Here's a surprise for you, the fireworks at the top (Good Vibes), are actually turned upside down. I thought it was a fun switch.

Of course I had to add a few Dot Jewels to accent the cute designs in this collection. This page was so much fun to build and it cametogether so quickly.
