Weekend Adventures and Cardmaking with Irit

Hello my Dear Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my first May BoBunny inspirational post.  We are doubling the fun today so you can enjoy two Paper Craft Saturday blog posts today.  Enjoy!

Today I am going to share four cards made with the very same, new and just released Weekend Adventures collection.

Weekend Adventures Cards by Irit Shalom

Weekend Adventures is the most versatile collection. You can scrapbook all your outdoors adventures such as BBQ, hiking, picnic, road trips and just outdoor play. You can use it for any party theme that is connected with one of these activities. And you can make cute themed and most general cards using this collection products with all other new released BoBunny and Pentart products.  I had such fun as I did this making my totally different cards for this showcase.

The two cards here are made as my themed cards:

My two other cards were made as more general cards and can be used for more occasions.

Now lets see the techniques I used  to make each  single card.
Life is Sweet card is the simple card made with BoBunny Weekend Adventures 12x12'' cardstock, Double Dots cardstock for matting, Noteworthy  scalloped die cut as the front image and add-ons of chipboards and one single layered chipboard.
This is a beginners' level card that can be made by someone at any skill level-even by kids.

Congratulations card is the second non themed card and more complicated to make.
I used the same 12x12'' cardstocks with Double Dot cardstock for matting and for die cutting and arranged multi layered card with add-ons of chipboards and layered chipboards. The sentiment was die cut and layered one over another for more interest.

And now let's see the themed cards.
The first themed card has a Mixed Media background that was made with BoBunny new stencil and Pentart new Stencil paste. When it was totally dry I added the die cut frame, a chipboard strip and arranged the chipboard sentiment over the die cut doily.

The last card is just Hello card made with different colors, but in the same way. Few background layers were made with patterned and Double Dot cardstock; some die cuts were added over the front.
The edges were painted with new BoBunny Glitter paste and some chipboards were added as  embellishments.

Thanks for dropping in today!  I hope you enjoy the cards and even more, I hope you join us again tomorrow!

Thanks!
 Irit

Down by the Sea-Mermaid Card Mania with Kathi

Hello BoBunny Friends!  It's Kathi here today to share with you three
nautical themed cards I created, each card is 6" x 6".  Here we go!

Card #1

Card #1
I layered two of the papers after distressing the edges with chalking ink,  I used glitter paste sea-foam on a piece of sea shells chipboard using gold confetti paste to embed the shells in sand.  The sea shells and crab was cut out of paper to make them stand out.  Then, I placed a chipboard sentiment on the top of the card.  I love how this turned out.  The Confetti paste was my favorite part. look at the chunky sparkle!

Card # 2

I had fun using the Ever After die to create  the sea weed in which the seahorses are swimming. I used a die from my stash to cut the large seahorse to go along with the chipboard seahorse. Adding a chipboard sentiment "Take me to the Ocean" to finish off the card.

Card #3

Card # 3 has layers and layers of paper from the Down by the Sea paper line.  I wanted some extra texture, so I crackle painted the middle layer. I had a fun Sun chipboard that I used the crackle primer on then used the two component Pentart crackle paint system. The color of step #2 of the crackle system is a Victorian Pink. I then cut out "Let's Be Mermaids" out of one of the 12x12 papers and layered it over the sun. I think it looks like some crazy floating sea kelp or even an octopus.  I then cut out sea life and mermaids from the paper line and used the "Ever After" die to cut the seaweed, then layered a chipboard sentiment below the seaweed and added Pearlescents to the sea-life and glitter paste to the mermaids.

Come back and see us soon!

Faith, Fine Art and Mixed Media with Elena O.

Hello Friends, it's Elena with you today.

I am sharing two mixed media cards I made for my post.

I love mixing mixed media techniques with fussy cutting on my projects. If it comes to cards - it's the most pleasant creative process I like to enjoy each time.

I created two cards. I covered the half of my background with the paper from 6x6 Faith Pad and for the rest of the background - I did some misting, stenciling and coloring.

First I used acrylic primer for my base, it's white and dries so fast. After that using the stickable stencils I applied the structure paste on my background, but actually I chose the intricate design and I needed something more smooth. So I tried the gel paste, which was a great choice for this technique.

Its' transparent, dries fast too and has a super cool 3D effect. Then I misted the stenciled areas with the BoBunny sprays in Mint and Blue.

Later I continued my composition using the Noteworthy pieces, the die cuts and the fussy cut flowers.

Then I added more color using the acrylic paints.

I also add the coloring on the cut out elements. and to make it look more sparkling I added the gems and pearls in different colors. I also added some drops of Pearlescents.

It was really so fun to play with all the colors.

I created an oh-so-light coloring on the die cuts too,

To finish, these are the supplies I've used for my project.

Hope you have enjoyed it!!!
