Down by the Sea and Pentart Rust Effects System with Amy

Hey There Bo Bunny Friends,

Amy here with a great technique to use when wanting to create some more dimension in your ocean theme layouts.

Here is 'Let the Sea Set you Free' Shadow box

The Pentart rust effect.

The rust effect system is quite fun to play with, but there is potential for a little messiness. Read and follow the instructions first and prepare your area there are some important tips to make sure you follow for best results.

1. Use a slow drying paint or gesso as your base for the metal to adhere too.  Pentart Iron Paste is a fabulous option. If you need color, mix your acrylic paints with another medium.

2. Once you have added your drops of the rust reagents. LET IT DRY!

3. The rust will leak through paper, and it is totally normal. I was ok with this as I was trying to make an underwater scene and it is always good to have a blotch or two of any color. You can always use chipboard on top if you need the rust in specific spots.

Here are some more close ups of my shadow box

I hope you have enjoyed this post and are ready to start playing with your Down by the Sea collection and getting your hands dirty with all the fun Pentart products BoBunny carries.

Stay Scrappy

Down by the Sea-"Ocean" mixed media layout with Angela

Hi my dear BoBunny friends!

It's Angela here with you today with a mixed media page featuring the beautiful new Down by the Sea Collection.

Ocean Scrapbook Page by Angela Tombari using BoBunny Down By The Sea Collection

The photo is of me and my son Francesco when he was only sixteen months old, during a Spring Break vacation. He was so happy to splash into the water even if it was pretty cold.

What I've made here is to create a cluster of papers and embellishments underneath my photo, to make it stand out.

But not only embellishments. I've used also stencils and pastes to add textures to the page giving it extra interest and to give a nautical flavor.

The beautiful doily you can see under the photo is actually not a doily, but a Mandala craft die, a new BoBunny die which has become my preferred one.  it's very easy to use, and extremely versatile for all sort of projects.

Here and there, I simulated the sand using Pentart 3D Powder, adhered with media glue.

To create the waves effect, I cut stripes of papers, folded in half and glued them one to the other. You can see it better in the process video below.

Then, the arrow which points at the journaling:

In fact, the creases of the papers were perfect for some hidden journaling.

What do you think? Do you like my page?

If you'd like to see how I made it, here below is the process video of the layout.

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon.

Love,

Angela

Down by the Sea Sunday Funday with Denise

Hello Everyone!

It's Denise here today to share some Sunday Funday Party Items with you, using the absolutely darling Down By the Sea Collection!

Party Items by Denise van Deventer using BoBunny Down by the Sea Collection and Flower Fun Stencils

I made some cupcake holders and cupcake flags, some little goodie bags and also used the fabulous new BoBunny die-cuts for coasters and decoration.

I had a cupcake holder, which I used as a template and also found a template on the internet, for those cute little goodie bags,

Here's a closer look at the cupcake holders and flags.

I used the fabulous new BoBunny stencils and markers to add some detail on these cupcake holders and then also added some BoBunny pearlescent dots to complete the design.

I also layered-up some of the BoBunny die-cuts and used these as little coasters, but also pretty decoration.  The flowers are also handmade from BoBunny cardstock and I also used these to add some prettiness and decoration.

One doesn't need to spend heaps on party items and decoration.  These items were easy and fun to make,  They took a little bit of time, but it was worth it! ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by the BoBunny blog today.  We hope to see you back tomorrow.

Have a fabulous Sunday!
