Shabby Chic Carousel Christmas Wall Hanging - with Ginny

Hey there BoBunny Peeps! Ginny here and today I'm sharing a very sweet and shabby chic inspired Christmas wall hanging using Carousel Christmas.

Jingle Bells Shabby Chic Christmas Wall Hanging Ginny Nemchak BoBunny Carousel Christmas

I just think Carousel Christmas is the dreamiest holiday collection.

I started this project thinking I wanted to create a shadow box styled ornament with painted mason jar lid...but before I knew it I had a wall hanging in front of me.

The lid is finished with a coat of Gesso then filled in with festive images and accented with faux snow for a frosty look.

Additional images are fussy cut and layered on with spacers for nice dimension. I've added a tinsel hanger and coordinating bows to hang.

The chipboard snowflakes are also finished with the Gesso then top coated with Glitter paste....because every shabby chic wall hanging needs pink sparkly snowflakes.

You can see the dimension I was able to get by adhering the elements with foam spacers between the layers. There's a bit of the die cut doily peeking out here and I think it adds texture as well as a visual break from the patterned papers.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : )

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year featuring Carousel Christmas - with Emmy

Hello BoBunny fans!

Emmy here today with a brand new project featuring the lovely Carousel Christmas collection to share with you!

And here are some close ups and tips & tricks on how I did it.

To assemble the background, I layered two different pattern papers and white cardstock on top of each other. Then using Stickable Stencil and Glitter Paste I created the gold dimensional pattern. As a final touch I sprinkled Glimmer Spray on top.

To decorate my page I used a lot of different fussy cut images and die cut shapes...

I used Glitter Paste and different colour rhinestones to embellish my images.

Vintage Altered Christmas Lantern featuring Christmas Carousel - with Denise

Hello BoBunny Fans

It's Denise here today with a little bit of festive decoration! I used the beautiful Carousel Christmas collection to create an altered Christmas decoration.

I have a candle inside, surrounded by artificial flowers, which can be lit and will be a beautiful piece at night. Here's a look at the top decoration.

...and here's a look at it, side on.

I did a lot of fussy cutting and used some die-cuts to create the little festive clusters. There are so many beautiful images that one can cut, that it's sometimes hard to choose which ones!!!

I fussy cut the bells below and added some snowflakes and holly. I also added some snow features and splatters, which I created with some watered down gesso and an old toothbrush.

I used some BoBunny cardstock and handmade these pink flowers.

You can see from the photo below that I created a window effect by cutting out a big window frame for both sides of this decorative piece.

The layers and all the bits and pieces add dimension and depth to this project.

I added some foil transfers on the bottoms of the back and front faces too.

I had bought this piece more than a year ago and knew that I somehow wanted to alter it as a Christmas piece and so this year it will be sitting on the mantle in our lounge and will be part of the Christmas decorations,

Thanks so much for stopping by the BoBunny blog today.  We hope to see you back tomorrow.

Have a fabulous day!

Denise x
