Birthday's come in all shapes and sizes

Sometimes we forget that we don't have to have
"BIRTHDAY" themed paper to scrap
a birthday layout.  Today, our girls have used
non-birthday themed paper for Birthday layouts.

Happy 16th Birthday
Robbie Herring
I thought that the Detour Collection would be just perfect for a picture that I took the first time Alex got to drive his new truck all alone.
 Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Detour Dots, Detour Destination, Detour Globe Trotting and Detour Recalculating
Stickers: Detour Combo
Layered Chipboard: Detour
Noteworthy: Detour
Double Dot: Chiffon
Tips for making it fast!
Instead of stitching, just tape the floss at the top and the bottom on the backside.
Want to add some extra color to an element? Try using markers.
I used a red and a navy marker on the large arrow element.
The circle that is in the center of the title is simply a circle punched out of one of the papers.
Take a closer look at your papers and try using punches to cut out instead of fussy cutting.

Supplies:
Cardstock Double Dot, Dark Denom
Patterned Paper: Detour /Dots, quotes Recalculating
Stickers: Detour Cardstock
Jewels: Detour
Rubons: Detour
Trinkets: Detour
Stapler and staples: Detour

Tip: Create a big number for a birthday layout using wordart and printing it on patterned paper.

How's that for quick and easy?  Love it.  Don't be afraid to step outside the theme of your
pattern paper and make it work for the photos you want to showcase.

Thanks Friends!  Have a SUPER Tuesday!
