Hey there! Good to be back! So excited to see what our new Design Team has in store for us! Everyone of them is uber-talented so no matter what.... you're sure to be inspired!
I've been looking forward to sharing this post with you. I've been mad scrappin' some fun "boy" layouts. That's right.... this Monday it's all about boys. I had a lot of fun using three of Bo Bunny's newer lines, Learning Curve, Cambridge and one of my personal faves... Block Party!!! For those who scrap mostly boy pages... I hope these put a smile on your face. And if you scrap mostly girly layouts there might just be a few inspiring things here for you too! Let me share some boy goodness......
This adorable kiddo is Bode, a dear friend of the family. I happened to catch this hilarious conversation between Bode and his Mom on Heidi's facebook. It's one of those toddler moments that would be fun to remember years down the road. Journaling about conversations you have with your children is one of the best ways to document their childhood. And with kids.... you're never at a loss for words.
Learning Curve seemed like the perfect line to use with this photo and theme. I created a big tabbed folder to frame the picture and build the layout around it. I've used Learning Curve papers, Combo stickers, and "School is Cool" cardstock stickers on this. I even had a little fun doodling a juvenile looking road and car! Ha!
These are the "Kings of my Heart". My sweet Brody boy and his handsome daddy Shane. As soon as I pulled this photo out and laid it next to the Cambridge collection this title instantly came to me. I printed an 8 x 10 photo for this page. They tend to be a little scary to work with since they take up so much space but it's awesome to use them when you have a favorite photo that you want to be center stage. Everything I've used on this layout is from the Cambridge line.
Okay.... this last layout is delicious!!!! And I don't mean my scrapping is... but aren't these photos amazing? These cute little boys and pictures belong to my girlfriend Becky who is a really talented photographer AND scrapbooker. When she sent me these she had NO IDEA I was playing with Block Party and I literally shrieked with excitement when I laid my eyes on them! One thing I like to do when a photo gets swallowed up by the products around it is mount them onto white cardstock like I did here. This makes them instantly stand out. I also love mixing different fonts to create my titles. The green letters on this page are actually a new font that can be found on the Sun Kissed Combo stickers sheet. Everything else here is from the Block Party line. The little phrase strips I cut out can be found on this "Good Times" paper in the same line. It was a perfect way to add to the feeling of the page without having to add journaling. Picking Blueberries.... what a fun summer activity and Becky's photos capture this childhood memory perfectly!
So that's it for this Monday! I love doing boy layouts. What do you scrapbook more of? Do you have a preference? Have you used any of these lines yet? Leave a comment and link us up! We'd love to see!
