With Valentine's Day around the corner I thought it would be fun to create something to make it extra sweet along the way.... not just that DAY! I love love love heart day! It's one of my very favorite Holidays. Who can resist all the pinks and reds mixed with black and other cool colors? Bo Bunny's Crush line is PERFECT for just this kind of project. I've been getting geared up for a "Countdown to Cupid Day" on my own personal blog so that's where the inspiration for this layout came from. My girls are excited to pull out a tag on each day and find something SWEET to do for a family member or friend or even a stranger. Every day until Valentine's they will be spreading some love.
I found this adorable white foam Cupid at Hobby Lobby for super cheap. I painted it red then sprinkled a red glitter coat on it. It could easily be used as a foam stamp too so you could use it for many projects.
Once I had my base papers down and the cupid and title positioned but not adhered... it was time to add all the fun little pockets to hold the tags. I cut 14 1 3/4" squares for these then machine stitched only the three sides down on the layout to keep them really secured. Once I got the pockets down then I glued everything else on. This layout is going to get a lot of touchy-feely love from my kids over the next few weeks so I want to make sure it will stay together. I went thru and added a tag in all the pockets. Each one has a sweet way to show some love written on it.
