Hi Bo Bunny fans! It is my turn to be spotlighted on the blog today and I have to say I am a little nervous :) I have been on the Bo Bunny design team for a year now and it has been a wonderful experience that I have enjoyed every minute of! This really is an amazing team to be on as everyone is so friendly from the staff at the Bo Bunny offices to the design team that is scattered all over the world and I feel my scrapping has grown so much since joining this team of very talented ladies and getting to play with all of the yumminess that is Bo Bunny products!
Right, a little bit about me...I live in the United Kingdom and have done for the last 9 years but I am originally from South Africa which is where I met my wonderful husband Paul. Paul is originally from the UK but was living in South Africa and playing in a band. We used to go and watch his band every weekend and he decided he liked me, introduced himself and we were engaged 3 months later. Hee hee, he might have won me over with the fact that he used to put on a headset mike and get off the stage and dance with me while he sang ballads sometimes. ;) We were married a year later and the rest as they say is history and we have now been married 14 years! This is a photo of him from when I met him, it always makes me giggle because he looks so serious and meanwhile he is such a joker and a big kid even now!
Once we decided we wanted to have kids Paul cut all his hair off and went into IT and I decided to quit my job in accounts to be a stay at home mom not long after our first child was born. Not that he ever gave up music completely, I think we currently have 12 guitars in the house between him and the kids and an amp in our room that is bigger than my chest of drawers! But he never complains that I have taken over the whole dinning room with scrapbooking stuff so I am not complaining!
We have two beautiful children who are generally the main focus of my scrapbooking. The eldest is Kieran and he is 10, soon to be 11. He is a sweet, caring, bright, determined, active little bookworm who takes part in as many sports and activities as he can wrangle!
My youngest son who is 8 is Christopher and he is a loving, shy, stubborn, witty, affectionate, cheeky little monkey who is always hungry and never sits still!
I am really, really shy, a serious bookworm and I am also a film and TV addict! I love food but am not a big fan of cooking which is quite funny as I am always looking through cookery books and watching cookery programmes to find new things to cook! I have been scrapbooking for about 8 years now ever since a friend showed me some of her wonderful layouts. I don't think I can define my style as I think it changes all the time. Having two little boys means that alas I can't really go overboard with flowers very often and I think I have quite a simple style although I do tend to work across most of the page! I love cutting elements out of my papers, hand and machine stitching on my pages, using foam tape to give dimension and I also tend to distress or ink edges on most pages. Most of my pages are not too dimensional though to make sure they fit in my albums.
I am including a photo of my scraproom but I do warn you it is not beautifully matching and organised! Even though I have loads of plans to do so and even some containers waiting to be used, I just can't seem to get past scrapbooking when I go in there! :)
I received my box just loaded with all the new Bo Bunny gorgeousness a couple of weeks ago right before we went away on holiday! I must say I was really tempted to cancel the holiday so I could stay home and play! So I have not had as much time as I would have liked to play but I have done a couple of layouts and cards from the new ranges :) I just could not resist using the stunning colours in the Forever Fall range!
Bo Bunny Supplies used :
Patterned paper : Bouquet, Fall Blaze, Cut Outs, Die Cut/ Forever Fall
Stickers: 12x12 Combo Sticker/ Forever Fall
Chipboard : Layered chipboard/ Forever Fall
The very pretty Garden Girl...
Bo Bunny Supplies Used:
Patterned Paper : Garden Girl, Stripe/ Garden Girl
Cardstock : Coordinating Double Dot in Grape
Stickers : Friendship CS Sticker/ Garden Girl
Chipboard : 12x12 Chipboard/ Garden Girl
Jewels: Garden Girl
Ribbon : Double Dot 3/8" Mint Green Ribbon
This is a card I made for my sons birthday in a few days using ETC. I have kept is quite flat without many embellishments as it is supposed to look like a book because he loves books so much and I let him choose which paper he wanted me to make his card with and this is what he chose!
It has a small spine and I included some inked pages inside too.
Bo Bunny Supplies Used:
Patterned paper : Extra/ et cetera
Cardstock : Coordinating double dot in Chocolate
Stickers : Just Be You CS Sticker, 12x12 Combo Sticker/ et cetera
