I have a fun project to share with you today featuring the new Forever Young collection and our new Borders Stickable Stencils. The beauty of our stencils is how versatile they are in design. You'll see below how they can work in many applications where a regular rigid stencil just will not.
To begin, I used Double Dot card stock in our new colors Tangerine and Hot Pink, then also used Aquamarine as well. This project was cut using my Silhouette, then I assembled and it was ready to decorate.
I embellished the top tier with one of our new designs in the Borders Stickable Stencil package.
I applied some Wasabi Glitter Paste.
I adhered my next stencil to my base layer, note how it wraps nicely around the angles of the box!
I applied the Glitter Paste, then removed the stencil and cleaned it.
My next layer is in Aquamarine, so I mixed Wasabi and Caribbean Blue Glitter Pastes together to customize a coordinating color.
For the front of this middle tier, I used a flourish stencil, but wanted to carry the Glitter Paste design around the layer, so I used the dot stencil in the back.
This was such a pretty finishing touch.
Next I added some finishing heart embellishments from the coordinating Chipboard and Noteworthy to the middle and lower tiers. A final stencil border was applied to the top tier in Pink Punch Glitter Paste.
Once dry, I cut a pretty Flutter butterfly from our Flutter Dies set, added a bit of Sugar Pearlescents to the center and rubbed on the edges. Now my gift box is all set to add some goodies in the bottom and middle layers.
Be sure to ask for the new Borders Stickable Stencils and Glitter Paste at your favorite craft store, you'll love the extra special touch it gives your projects!
