Cambridge......with a Twist!

A Feminine Twist!

Cambridge is one of those super cool lines by Bo Bunny that LOOKS like it's made for all things masculine. But I beg to differ! Do you scrap mostly girl layouts? Do you prefer all things feminine? Well.... when you get a little creative and add some super girly details.... Cambridge can be used for BOTH!

There are many things that can help add to the femininity of a layout. Let me show you what I've done!

Lots of layers... specifically "scalloped layers"
Flowers... several of them. Layer them, combine paper with fabric and lace, add some fun brads to their centers. Flowers can make things "pretty".
Hearts.... add some "love" using hearts. I have three different shapes and sizes layered on top of each other here. Notice more scallops on the biggest heart?
Machine Stitching... this adds warmth and a homemade feel to anything. I added a zig-zag stitch to the hearts and also a straight stitched border around the photo to add subtle detail.

Lace and rose trim.... Loving the new petals and trims by Bo Bunny. I used these two pictured here but played with them a bit on this layout to get the look I wanted. I took the largest layer of the lace flower off and created my own by layering it with a paper posie and a rose cut from the trim for the center. I also cut another rose off the trim and unrolled it so I had some matching fabric to tie a bow with and add to the hearts.

I also stamped some wings from the Cambridge Collection and added them to the hearts and title work. Wings combined with bows and hearts can add instant girly-ness (is that a word? HA!) to any layout!
Flourishes.... a fun chipboard embellishment that Bo Bunny has manufactured for a while but is completely timeless. These combined with the big flower can frame and accent a photo perfectly.
Oh.... and of course a "pretty" girly photo. This is Meghan. I did her Senior photo shoot last May and that pretty face and soft blue blouse combined with the grungy brick wall was an awesome match for the Cambridge line. Cambridge.... girly-fied!!!

Here's the finished project. Grungy masculine looking paper line with a girly twist!

And here's a basic sketch of the layout so you can play along too if you'd like.

Let's make it even MORE FUN to play along..... how about I give away some Cambridge goodies!?!?! Leave a comment.... and I will pick a lucky friend of Bo Bunny to receive a Cambridge package.

Thanks for stopping by! ♥
