New Years Goals and Resolutions!

It is that time again.  The start of another year with new beginnings, fresh slates and positive outlooks!

Have you made any New Years Resolutions this year?   I have, one of them is to be more organised!  Of course resolutions and goals can be really hard to stick to so I think it is a wonderful idea to scrap a layout about your resolutions and maybe frame it and keep it out where you can see it everyday to give you that little bit of a reminder and keep you on track to achieving those goals!  Some of the ladies on the design team have done a layout about their goals and resolutions to share with you.

Goals

Patterned Paper: Winter Joy Snow Fall, Winter Joy Stripe, Winter Joy Snow Angels, Winter Joy Bundled

Designer Tip: Use a sewing machine to stitch together a "chain" of butterflies and then attach them to your layout for a fun homespun embellishment.

Laugh!
By: Mireille Divjak

As Mireille's journaling is in Dutch she has translated it for us...
These pictures were taken on 1/1/11
- love that date!-
we were visiting my friend and I love the fact that all four of us laughed. It's been 2 hard years health wise and my goal for this year is quite simple..."laugh"..  preferably "laugh lots".. laugh at least once a day.. and if we don't have a reason to laugh we will create one.. because 2009 and 2010 were definitely years with not enough laughter.

Ribbon : Pink Ruffle wrap
layered chipboard, dimensional stickers, chipboard : Crush
Alpha: chunky chips
Buttons

Other supplies: bazzill cardstock, floss, liquid pears, sew easy, silver rub, white paint, pens.

Welcome to day one of the Bo Bunny blog hop. Yes you read that right. There will be not one, but three blog hops this January. And of course there will be some Bo Bunny goodies to be won along the way!

All of the Bo Bunny designers have put together some amazing work to share on their blogs. Today we have eight featured designers to inspire you to create. Their work is simply gorgeous and I was in awe by each and every project.

Today's designers include:

The Blog Hop begins at Agnieska's blog:  http://scrapbooking-mirabeel.blogspot.com/ , but all of the participating designers' blogs are linked above in case there is a hiccup along the way.

If you would like to play along, just follow along the blog path.  Agnieska is linking to one of the Bo Bunny designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. Just keep hopping until you reach the end!

And now for the Blog Hop prize. One blog hop participant will win a prize package of Bo Bunny goodies! To be eligible leave a comment on each of the designers' blogs as you hop along and then come back here to the Bo Bunny blog and leave a comment on this post about the hop. One winner will be chosen randomly on Tuesday January 11th (11:59 pm mountain time) and announced during our second January blog hop.

Good luck and have fun!

Photography 101 - Photo Editing

Happy New Year EVERYONE!

It has been a while since we last did a photography tip.

I was thinking...
the holidays are gone, and we have LOADS of
fun pictures just waiting to be printed and scrapped.

How about some easy editing tips that
can be done in most photo editing software.

(we used photoshop)

Here is our beginning photo.

Already a great photo RIGHT?!

Well with a few simple steps, we can make it even better.
Lets get started.

Lets talk
LEVELS

Find your levels
In photoshop it is under the menu image/adjustments.

Simply move the levels bar on both sides in 20. Like above. THATS IT!

Just look at the results...

We took a great photo to AMAZING in seconds.

If your photo editing software doesn't have Levels, here's another simple trick.

Lets play with
Brightness/Contrast
In Photoshop, its is also under images/adjustments

Simply change the Brightness and Contrast by 20 like above and voilá!

Here is the before and after side by side.

AMAZING RIGHT?!?!

Give it a try!

Hope you have a great Monday!
