What does vintage mean to you with regards to scrapbooking? This question came to mind as I was putting together this post for you. To me, vintage means old, antique or even retro. This style can give your pages a timeless, classic quality and it never seems to go out of fashion. It also allows you to have fun as you give your papers and other items an antiqued look using a variety of techniques. This style fits perfectly with so many of the Bo Bunny collections and today you will see how Tara and Luzma created their own vintage style layouts using a two of the new Bo Bunny collections.
Tara gave her layout a vintage feel by using a black and white photo, paper doilies and multiple patterns of paper from the Country Garden collection. As you will notice she distressed the edges of the patterned papers and layered them to provide a wonderfully aged look. The hand cut butterfly images and Country Garden Noteworthy die cuts add the perfect touches to complete her layout.

Luzma used a combination or products from the Ambrosia collection. She also incorporated stamps, ink and fussy cutting to give her layout a bit of retro style. The label border punch provides a bit of vintage flair as does the wonderful layering she accomplished with her embellishments.

ReplyDeleteI'm so into vintage right now and am reading about The Roaring Twenties - for me vintage means an old world feel, something that conjures a nostalgia for eras of old. I just posted a shaped hat card on my blog that was inspired by a very vintage movie, "The Artist!"
ReplyDeleteBeautiful layouts! I love the vintage look and these have given me alot of ideas, Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteThese are both GORGEOUS!!! I loveeeeeee all the layers and the flowers!! And I go back and forth with vintage! lol! Usually for me, I go to the antique store and find something to alter with 'vintage' looking papers... but I also like working with older photos and vintage looking papers... like BB's Paparazzi or World Traveler!!
ReplyDeleteI love what the designers did with the vintage look! Beautiful layouts full of inspiration!
