Interviews!

Hi, Howdy & Hello friends!
Happy Friday
Can you believe it's August already????
Where does the time go?

Let me tell you about today's blog post...

The assignment was to scrapbook an interview you've had with someone.
(not like a job interview... just a fun conversation worth remembering)

For example, weeks after 9-11 we drove around our community and took pictures
of the different signs & flags & support that was given to the country.
At the time, my boys were 9 and 7.

So I asked them what they thought about what had happened
to which my 9 year old replied with...
"It scares me that so many people died, and are they
going to attack our city? I'm sad for all the families who are alone."
(He really was so concerned and really wanted to talk about the events quite a bit)

Then, I asked my 7 year old what he thought about it... to which he replied...
"When are they going to be done showing the news during cartoon time!"

There ya have it! Priceless....
after all my fabulous mothering,
the kid was just concerned about the dang cartoons.
ha ha ha

Here is Romy's layout...
(I love the relationship Romy has with her family, it shows in every layout, mini album and project she makes!  I love that you can tell so much about a person through their scrapbooks.

Romy says: "My journaling is a conversation of me and my dad during our vacation to Vienna. I am sometimes driving my dad a little crazy with all the photos I take. We can barely walk a few minutes without stopping for a photo moment.
The journaling is in Dutch and says:
"Wait a moment, I gotta take a photo here"
"Hm, is there anything special to photograph here?"
"No, I mean I want to take a photo of you"
"Oh, what do I have to do on the photo?"
"Well, just act as if you are looking at the stairs"
"Hmmm, alright"

Designer Tip: You don't always have to use themed collections for the specific theme that they are actually meant for. For example the wintery collection 'Snowfall' also works pretty well for a serene layout with a summer photo on it.

Can you stand it??  I absolutely love it!

(Romy... your dad is the best! For that matter, so are you.
I love your layout, your journaling, your style and the tip!)

Blake said: When I grow up I want to be a mom, My favorite food is spaghetti AKA ramen noodles, My favorite thing to do with my mom is to clean with her, My favorite thing to do with my dad is to ride motorcycles with him, My favorite color is purple, My favorite animals are a giraffe and a moose, My favorite movie is Horseland, My favorite song is Sesame Street, My favorite thing to do with Shawni is to play with her jewelry box with her.

Designer tip: Don't worry about what color your chipboard pieces are, just grab some paint and glimmer mist and you can make it match whatever project you want!

How fun, I love hearing toddlers views on life!

Thanks for hanging out today you guys!
If you have a minute....leave us a comment on a fun interview you've had
and then go scrap it.

  2. I almost melted reading the LO about Blake @ 3. That is so cute! I once did one with my daughter, when I didn't know about Bo Bunny yet. I should do one with my son once he knows how to verbalise his choices. Now I have so many collections to choose from and there's still so much more paper I'd like to get my scissors on. Apple Cider for one.
