Xyron, Giveaways, Secrets & Fun!!!

 OOOOOO-WWEEEEEE!!
Today's post is loaded. But you'll want to hang in til the end. Promise.

First of all.... I have a Xryon story.  This is going to age me, but I'm okay with it.

Way back in 2000, I went to a scrap event for a non-profit organization and Xyron was
one of the sponsers.  We were using their very cool Xyron 850 machine to make some
projects for the organization and Xyron promised to give away the two machines we
were using at the end of the day.  I kept telling everyone to NOT get their hopes up, cuz
I was going to win.  Guess what???  I totally did.  Below is a picture of me kissing my
amazing machine I had just one that would make my scrappy life a little more fun.

The picture below is a picture of me today kissing the same machine that still works like a charm!!
One problem, the new machines today are colorful and aerodynamic
and their refills don't fit my old dinosaur.
I'm so sad I can't buy refills for it anymore.... but, I'm ooolways up for buying new tools.

 Moving on............

Today we have 3 of our designers & the Xryon designers to take your mind to creative heights.

Here's the plan:
Visit Juliana's blog and play along
Visit Sarah's blog and play along
Visit Robbie's blog and play along
Visit Xyron's blog and play along
Make sure you leave a comment here as well for another chance to win!

Here are some sneaks of Juliana's page.... if you love texture and I know you do...
You'll love what she's done with the Key lime collection and Xyron adhesive.

Here are some sneaks of Robbie's layout and she used the Anthem pennants and Xryon adhesive for a banner and made diamonds.
Brilliant... you'll love it and have one more reason to love pennants.

And then Sarah used the pennants from the Anthem chipboard and used them as pennants,
which are darling.... but you are going to have a hard time looking at the layout, because
her daughters are so stinking adorable, you can't take your eyes off them.

I have to admit, I'm kinda sad that this is our last day swap hopping with Xryon.  We've had a ton of fun.  Make sure you visit both them and us on facebook daily and chat and share a little of your scrappy life with us!!

  Thanks so much Xyron!!!!

  2. It was a great blog hop. The projects are so bright and colorful. Having good tools make life so much easier - except they do eventually become obsolete. Onward and to better things.

  11. This post cracks me up! First of all, I had an 850 back in 2000 also and when the 900 came out *drool* I got that one and sold my 850. I also own the 250/500/and I even got the X but gave it to my mom. Yeah, I've been a Xyron fan for awhile now :) And my BoBunny collections are nearly as old LOL!

  27. 3M makes a laminator that looks exactly like the 850 --- I still have mine. And the 3M inserts look just like my Xyron inserts (I have a small stockpile). I wonder if the 3M inserts would fit in the 850????

  32. Excited for your news!! Not to date myself either but I have a xyron 1200 that I bought after taking a class with Judi Kauffman where she was promoting her red castle cd with sizable templates that you printed and cut by hand. She showed us the machine and how it so easily adhered fabric to the templates!! I had to have one and so began my love of xyron and their many products subsequent ( I think I have them all?? )

  42. I have my original sticker maker and still LOVE it! Lucky for me the refills still fit. I was hoping to win a Teresa Collins Xyron tape runner at CAD in New Zealand this weekend but I didn't :( TC was kind enough to let me try hers and it is way better than the one I bought (not xyron).
