Hello my dear BoBunny friends!
It's Angela here today to show you a mixed media layout featured with a new amazing Christmas collection, Merry & Bright.
When I work on a layout I always start from the color scheme of the paper to match the dominant color of the photo or vice-versa. This is a little secret that you maybe know and I'm pleased to share with the one who doesn't.
I had this photo of my youngest son Filippo, cute and fun and beautiful, waiting for a worthy project.
When I saw Merry & Bright release I immediately thought: Yesss! That's the right one to work with!
JOY TO THE WORLD MIXED MEDIA LAYOUT
I decided to keep a neutral background and I found this 'perfectly match' Taupe Double Dot paper that I spread with silver Pearlescent to give it a snowy, stormy look.
I repeated the polka-dots of the patterned paper here and there with Glitter Pastes, on the patterned paper itself, to highlight the polka dots and on the Taupe paper too, to give continuity. Mixed media is such a fun.
But my preferred part of any mixed media project is embellishing the page with every sort of object!
I love using fabrics, laces and threads...
... of course chipboards and die-cuts and tags...
... sequins and even a white bear!
I wanted to make a step further so I decided to make a Christmas Tree using a straw and some flowers!
Here is the complete layout
I hope you like this fun mixed media Christmas layout and that you'll enjoy getting messy with a mixed media project using this wonderful paper collection!
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Love,
Angela
