Kiss the Cook and Pentart Glow in the Dark Paint with Katherine

Firstly I want to wish everyone a Happy Christmas from all of us, and wanted to share some different treat containers that you could make as gifts for people in this festive period or use as table decorations yourself.

To start with the central box I took a piece of 12" Double dot Chocolate, and scored it at 4" and 8" on the top and side.  Then I scored the diagonals so they went to the central square (not all the way across).  Once this was done I decorated the 4" square sections with the Kiss the Cook papers.  The backing sheet was from A La Mode, and then I die cut some of the star paper from the 6"' pad using the Portrait Frames die.  I then added a mixture of some of the vellum and also some of the 2" squares from the Kiss the Cook papers as well as some Noteworthy from this collection, finishing it off with some Butterscotch Pearlescent drops and some flowers using the Perfect Petals dies with Licorice glitter paste in the middle.  After the decoration you punch a hole in each corner, and I used some twine to pull the sides all together to make the 4 sectioned gift/party box.

Here is the design flat so you can see the score marks and the decorations.

You can see some of the decoration using the beautiful gold foiled vellum and also some of the mocha jewels.

There are some super origami boxes you can make, and I've made origami star lanterns which you can also use as little boxes.  The two smaller ones are using the 6x6 Kiss the Cook pad, and the large one is from a 12x12 sheet of A La Mode.  I added some of the Pentart Glow in the Dark Paint in Light Green on the points on the little stars, and then some dots on the larger stars which makes them light up when the lights are low in the evening.

You can fit a few treats in these mini containers.

Finally I used some jam jars, which again could be filled with treats and I made some gift tags using a mix of papers and some more flowers, I also added some dots of the pink, light green and lilac glow paints to them so you get a really pretty glow at night.
