Double Dot Damask - Altered Notebook and Technique Tutorial with Irit

Hello, My Dear Crafty Friends!

Irit here today! I welcome you all to my altered notebook post made with a crafty video tutorial too!.
Today I am going to share a project made with new, just released Double Dot Damask collection.  Here's a sneak peek at the colors and patterns....  :)

So I will also be sharing a unique "eclipse" stamping and die cutting technique that can be applied to just about any craft project.  Eclipse cards are very trendy right now.  All you need are good,  large stamps and pretty large letter dies.
BoBunny All Caps dies work nicely here for this project.  Feel free to use bigger dies if you want.  Since this is mostly a technique tutorial post that it explains the technique whatever size dies you'd like to use here. Hope that you like the tutorial.

This simple school notebook was covered with  Wild Berry and Licorice Double Dot Damask and embellished with a card sized front made with the same Damask cardstocks with Dusty Rose Damask  as the stamping base.
You can stamp over patterned cardstock, esepcially if it is pale so you still get the papttern and the detail of the stamping. .
The flowers from Pocket Full of Posies set was stamped on both corners with black pigmented ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Then, the stamped images were colored with water color markers.
The next steps need to be done in order...  Next, the Love Life words were die cut over the stamped front and then arranged over the cut slots with 3D foam glue. That is all! . A few pearls were added to embellish the front and a few DD Damask layers were glued one over another for the interest.

I have created a video tutorial for you here of this fun and unique "eclipse" technique. Hope you ENJOY!
