DIY Mini Album Case with Angela

Hello dear friend,
Angela here! Today I'm sharing with you a fun project I made for a dear friend of mine and her little baby Isabella.

This week theme on the BoBunny blog is 'Altered Item' and my idea was to create a mini album that fits inside a small sieve.

I found this sieve at my local craft store for a ridiculously good price. Actually, I didn't know what to do with it but it was so cute that I couldn't resist to buy it.

The sieve has revealed being a great option. It can hold and protect the mini album and also be used as a frame and stand on a shelf.

The mini album is made by circles of 3,50 inches I cut with my Circle Spin and Trim by WRMK. I love this tool, I find it very practical and helpful and you'll see me using it a lot. Of course the size of the pages depends on the dimension of the sieve and mine is about 0,50 inch smaller than the sieve circumference.

The binding of the mini album is a stripe of cardstock 1 inch high and 6 inches long folded in an accordion to keep the pages together in place.

Then, to keep it closed, I sticked a ribbon on the binding and wrapped it around the mini. The same ribbon is also useful to pull out the mini from the sieve.

Last and funner part is the decoration. I used a variety of papers and embellishments left from various BoBunny collection, particularly Harmony, Sweet Clementine and Celebrating freedom.

Here and there, I incorporated some stitching, both hand and machine made. The page below is the one of the mini that I prefer. It's like a color wheel!

This is Isabella whit her beautiful mum, my sweet friend Giorgia. For them I stitched the word Love and a doodle with a butterfly directly on the photo.

Here is the sieve that stands up by itself with the mini album inside.

That's all for today my friend. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you liked my little mini album in the sieve and you would give it a try. See you soon here with another project.
Love,
