Birthday Calendar with Time & Place

Hello BoBunny fans!

Emmy here today sharing my first post for November. In the Netherlands we have something called a Birthday Calendar - it looks like the usual calendar, only there are no days of the week, so you can re-use it year after year. I thought the wonderful Time and Place collection from BoBunny would be perfect for it!

I create the base for each month, I cut off the middle parts of the pattern papers, inked their edges and adhered them on slightly larger panels of Double Dot Cardstock.

To cover the days of the week on each page I cut out banner stripes from silver and gold metallic washi tape.

To decorate my calendar I used fussy cut embellishments from different pattern papers. I used glitter gel pens to write the dates. To memorise a special day (New Year's Day, Birthday, Halloween, etc.) I used special squares from the 12" pattern papers.

I hope I managed to inspire you today!

Have a great week!

"Live in the Sun" - Fabric Mini Album - featuring Summer Mood with Irit

Hello My Dear Crafty Friends!

It's Irit here today and I am going to share a hand made fabric album made with a new and delicious Summer Mood BoBunny collection.

"Live in the Sun" Fabric Album by Irit Shalom

Usually I don't make a lot of mini albums. It is time consuming and I don't have so many family photos to fill the whole album.  So this fabric album base was done a couple of years ago and was waiting for a nice paper collection to nicely coordinate with the fabric cover.  And, will be the perfect place to hold all the fun photos we take this summer of my dear grand kids!.   At this stage, it's without any photos.   I just added matting for the future photos to be added there.  Can't wait to start taking photos to fill it up this coming season.

Here is the front cover of the album:

I used one of  my BoBunny Ornate chipboard frames to start.  I trimmed it a bit so it would fit well over the album cover.  This collection has some black backgrounds and elements so I painted it with black acrylic paint for a dynamic accent.   Next, a few cardstock pieces were added inside the frame.
Then more cardstock pieces, die cut to be the higher layer and the pink die cut doily was added as another layer.   I finished with layered chipboard from this new collection as a title "Live in the Sun"

This is how this album looks from the top side.

For more embellishments two painted wooden birdcages were added on the top.

The BoBunny flowers cluster was added on the lower corner and embellished with jewels.
Some combo stickers were added over the frame as the subtitle too.

And here, just to give a glimpse of what it looks like inside, the pages are ready with mats and ready for us to make some memories this summer!

I really tried to keep the as flat as possible, so I kept the inside layers fairly minimal. That way I can load the book with photos of the fun things we do this summer and the bok will still close nicely

All pages were made in the similar way with one photo mat, stickers, washi tape. I added some sayings, swirly jewels with flowers and brads too.

I really hope that you like this project and look how easy this collection makes the whole summer album!   And if you don't make your own handmade albums you can easily recreate your pages in any album.

Thanks for dropping in today to see what we have on deck for new project ideas!  Come back and see us again!

"Adore" - 12 x 12 Mixed Media Layout with Black Tie Affair and Emmy

Hello BoBunny Fans!

Emmy here today, sharing my newest project I created featuring BoBunny's Black Tie Affair collection and We R Mini Alphabet Punch.

For my background I layered a black pattern paper on top of  Double Dot Passion Fruit Damask Cardstock. Before adhering them together, I distressed the edges of the pattern paper. Using modeling paste and a Stickable Stencil, I created the white dimensional pattern. Then I sprinkled Gold mist on top.

To decorate my page I used a lot of fussy cut elements, which I embellished with rhinestones and die cut doilies.

I added also pre-cut embellishments from the Noteworthy pack matching this collection and stickers from the 12" sticker sheet.

The letters for my title I punched from Double Dot Cardstock using the We R Mini Alphabet Punch. I inked the edges of the letters with a black ink pad and decorated them with rhinestones.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you found a daily dose of creativity and ideas!Have a wonderful day!

Chabby Chic Card Duo - Featuring Black Tie Affair with Ginny

Hello there, Friends, and a happy day to you all!  I'm here to share two cards that I created with the Black Tie Affair collection. If you're thinking I'm going classic black and white these cards might surprise you.  This collection works for shabby chic inspired projects too!

I've pulled out the whites and grays for these cards and layered them with sweet soft pink cardstock. This 6 x 6 card has loads of Noteworthy pieces and a large die cut doily.

To make the ribbon slide I used the Alphabet Punch Board from We R Memory Keepers and created the tops of two A's but on opposite ends of a long strip. I simply wound the ribbon through then wrapped the tails and secured them on the back.  A few Double Dot Jewels are the perfect finishing touch!

This card is A2 sized and has more of the cut aparts and a smaller die cut doily. For this ribbon slide I punched the ends like in the previous slide...but left the ends squared off. I also trimmed a bit to make it narrower so as to fit the scale better.

The scrap from the cut apart makes an excellent tag when given a coordinating metal eyelet and twine. Instead of my usual poofy bow I created a smaller ribbon embellishment with the trim  and secured it in the center with a Double Dot Brad.

I'm having loads of fun creating unique embellishments with my Alphabet Punch Board. Of  course it's great for letters too!

Okay that's all for me. Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Oversized Card and Tag Duo - Featuring Black Tie Affair and We R Mini ABC Punch with Denise

Hello Everyone!

It's Denise here today, to share a little love and a little Black Tie Affair. I created a card and a large tag with this beautiful, black and white collection. There is something that is just stunning with stark black and white, and just teeny spalshes of color.  For the first card, I picked the lighter shades from BTA.

Then for my next step, I created the card, using the super Mini ABC punch from We R. I then added some detail with fussy cut items and small die-cut blooms from BoBunny cardstock.

Here is the large tag, again, using fussy cut elements.

There are so many pretty elements that can be fussy cut from the patterened papers, that it is hard to know which one's to choose!

I used a BoBunny stencil and black crackle paste for the title.

For the large tag, I also chose one extra colour to give the tag some pop and here I chose a Cerise pink. The little details were added with BoBunny pearlescent and a white gel pen.

I will definitely use this card and tag as a combo and will also use black and white gift paper for the gift.  I just know that it will be elegant and beautiful!

Thanks so much for stopping by the BoBunny blog today and we really hope to see you back tomorrow.

Have a super day!

Eat Birthday Cake! - Mini File Folder Folio Card featuring Black Tie Affair

Hello There Friends!

Happy Friday to you all : )  Today's project share is a fun birthday card/file folder min folio. I've used the new collection Black Tie Affair which is basically just 100% awesome! It manages to be graphic and classic and fresh and vintage all at the same time! And so very versatile because you can use it as it is or mix it up and add in your favorite splashes of color.  I picked Double Dot cardstock to use in conjunction with the black and white here.  The Blush Double Dot shade I picked really punches it up.

The inspiration for this project was the cheeky sentiment I created with the Alphabet Punch Board. It's taking over the front cover and I just love how it looks. I wound up creating two sets of the letters then layering the more solid pattern under the print to give the allusion of shadow. To further play up the 3D look I popped the letters up on Sticky Thumb double sided foam adhesives from American Crafts .  The cover also has quite a bit of pattern layering . To keep it from looking like a jumbled up mess I added a top layer of velum that I cut with scalloped scissors for added detail. There's a few die cut doilies tucked in there as well.  The last touch is a tag from the sticker sheet that's been finished off with a coordinating metal eyelet and bakers twine.  The smaller sentiments were created with my old school label maker...the kind you roll the wheel around and squeeze to smoosh the letters into the tape.  Not only does it look cool and retro but adds texture!

Here is a shot of the inside pages:

I created the cover with the Punch Board to look like a tabbed topped file folder. Inside is finished with the coordinating patterned papers. Pockets hold tags with room to include additional mementos...like maybe a gift card or ???? The blush cardstock between the layers keeps the patterns separate and it's used also for the smaller doily die cuts.

Here's the little tags pulled out. Those sweet little circles were on the patterned paper and were easy peasy to cut out using a circle die. Who doesn't like making their own embellishments? I love adding clips to minis because there are times when you want to include a picture or ticket or some small memento that you don't want to permanently adhere to the pages.

This last set of pages has two generously sized photo mats and a really nice area to write in a personal sentiment.

Okay that's all for me today. Wishing all of you a happy and productive day : ) G
