Reader Spotlight

Today we are going to spotlight one of you!
Lets here it for...

Georgina Hefferman!!!

A couple of us in the office have become aquatinted with Georgina
through her ROCKIN' challenge blog Scrap Whispers
and of course from her love of BoBunny!
We must we ADORE her.

So with out further ado,
lets get to know Georgina!

My name is Georgina Hefferman, I recently turned 31 years old
and I live in the UK. I am currently single and whilst I have no kids
of my own I  have 4 cats that keep me fully occupied and they are great
subjects for my scrapbook pages! I  also have a pretty large family that
keep me busy with various custom craft projects and
I have a great group of friends too.  I work full time during the day for a large
Insurance Company in Commercial Property Insurance Claims
dealing with large losses over the value of £100,000 and when I am finished
there I teach linedancing a couple of times a week. I started line-dancing
when I was 16 and have been a fully qualified instructor and medal adjudicator
for around 8 years -its such a great hobby and I love the contact
I get with all kinds of great people. Seriously, my
life is non stop I wonder how I manage to fit crafting in!

Georgina's Dear Family

My favourite craft has to be scrapbooking, but cardmaking comes
a very close second. I was a scrapbooker first and foremost but
love the quick crafty fix a card can give me when I am short on time,
which can be quite often!  The thing I enjoy most about paper-crafting
is being able to spend time in my craft room every day -  chilling out
after a long day, relaxing, listening to music or watching a
movie whilst simply unwinding. Paper-craft is such a therapeutic hobby.

I started my paper craft obsession when I was about 6 years old.
I still have an old fashioned scrapbook my mum gave me when I
was little and I have cut out pictures from magazines and catalogues
and layered them in there! I then progressed in high school to
making collages and eventually in 2005 discovered scrapbooking.
I found a little scrapbooking community on line and the rest
as they say is history! I am so pleased I was bored that day,
surfing the internet (on dial up) wishing for something to do!

I love to scrapbook pages about my family, my friends, my cats
stuff I do, events I attend, milestones in my life, my garden, my hobbies...
the list goes on - absolutely anything goes! I especially love a challenge
that pushes me outside my comfort zone, scrapbooking things
wouldn't normally scrapbook.  I enjoy the weekly scrapbook
challenge on my Scrap Whisper Challenge blog for this exact reason.

It is so difficult to choose my favourite Bo Bunny collection
Purple is my absolute favourite colour - my craft room, car,
bedroom, blog, phone, computer etc etc are all purple. On this basis
alone I would have to say Peacock Lane - although Sophie
is a very close second.  I am obsessed with Christmas too and adore the new
Noel collection - I cannot wait to get to play with this!

I would have to say, favourite movie of all time is Big, with Tom Hanks.
I can watch that again and again and never get bored of it.
As for favourite music thats a hard one. I listen to every genre
with my dancing and love it all - from Country to Pop, Latin
Irish and more! At the moment though my ipod seems to
be stuck on either Rascal Flatts or Michael Buble

Back in 2006 there was not very many challenge blogs around,
many of the scrapbooking challenges were simply made
up on message boards and forums by like minded people wanting
to do something different with their papercrafting. I discovered I loved
setting challenges, not only did it make me push my own scrapbooking boundaries,
enabling me to try new things and develop my own scrapbooking style,
but I loved seeing what other people did with those challenges. I got excited
when I inspired people to create something wonderful. We also used to
play lots of games online and I had the idea for a scrap whisper game
where we worked in teams to scraplift each others layouts.
It was such fun and became so popular on the forums that it kind of
needed its own home so we could keep it all together. Hence the scrap
whisper blog was born and we combined the main scraplifting game
with weekly challenges to keep us engaged and inspired.  I now even
have a Design Team who do wonderful things and never fail to inspire me.

Lets here it for Georgina!  Make sure to leave her a comment!
