Creative Journaling

What I love about today's topic,
is how many different directions you can take it.

I looked up creative in the Thesaurus and here are some
other words for it....

creative:

clever, cool, formative, gifted, hipingeniousinnovative, inspired, inventive, leading-edge, original, productive, prolific, stimulating, visionary, way out, artistic, imaginative

and these ladies definitely have the creative juices flowing!

Title: My Place of Peace
by: Gabrielle Pollacco

A friend of mine just finished writing her second fiction book (scrapping related) and in honor of her book release I played along with a challenge on her blog. So I combined that challenge with this one one journaling. (the challenge at her blog was to scrap about a special place where you can be 'yourself') I chose my bedroom, the one place I always keep clean & tidy, my place of refuge to read, scrap & relax.

In the past I used to use a fun form of journaling that adds a design element to the page and that is to scrap in a circle design or around the edges of photo or page elements. Here I stitched a circle with the zig-zag setting on my sewing machine and then journaled around the edges of the circle.

I also used a few of the gorgeous new BB blooms on this layout (gotta say, I was in heaven unloading the DT box!!)

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Serenade; Garden (both sides), Poppies (both sides)
Cardstock: Khaki dot
6x6 Double Dot Pads: Natural Necessities, Very Vintage
Stickers: Serenade Combo Sticker Sheet
Buttons: Serenade
Stamps: Serenade, Midnight Frost
Blooms: Wildberry Daisy
Lace: Wildberry Lace
Jewels: Serenade

Bo Bunny Supply List:
Patterned Paper: Little Miss, Brenna, Dorothy, Hannah, Jaquoya, Lizzie, Maree
Noteworthy: Little Miss
Chipboard: Little Miss Layered Chipboard
Buttons: Little Miss
Jewels: Little Miss
Stamps: Gabrielle

Designer Tip: I used the Little Miss paper as the base of my layout. This sheet has a few text strips printed on it. I decided to follow these strips when adding journaling to my layout. So I added some of them a little diagonally for a playful look.
