School Days Misc Me Album!

Hello Everyone

It's Denise here today to share my new "The Learning Years" Misc. Me Album with you. This is an album of my son's schooling, right from Nursery School and will continue right up until Grade 12.

Here's the cover firstly.

I didn't use a specific collection, but went through all my Misc. Me goodies and picked out all the neutral coloured pieces. I didn't want to use a specific collection because this project is going to span many years and so probably would not have enough supplies from one collection.  But I certainly do have lots of cardstock and also many mix and match neutrals from all the various BoBunny collections. It's so awesome that they do mix and match!!

I used different sized pieces of Misc. Me cards and created the design on the cover.  Some cards are raised and others are flat. I then added some wood kraft pieces and the title, using laser cut chipboard and alphabet stickers. I used a white gel pen to outline the Celebrate.

I went with the Kraft envelopes and dividers for the inserts, as I wanted to be able to place his reports, artwork and little notes in the envelopes.I stamped the title for the first divider and then also added some stamped corners.

I die-cut 2 different tones of cardstock using a BoBunny die-cut for the year label. I then added some Pearlescent drops for some bling and stamped the year with white pigment ink.

I also used some cardstock to create the journal tag and to mat the photo. I have a cute alphabet die-cut which I also used for the tag label "note". I then added a little pearl for decoration.

I had added some stamping with various BoBunny stamps, the stars and the time circles, before I had adhered the photo and the laser cut butterfly.

Onto the next page spread.

On the left hand side I used some cardstock and a Kraft gift bag to mat the photo.  I then also added a strip of cardstock down the envelope and a wood piece and some alphabet stickers.

For the third page I used a big blog of cardstock to mat the photo and I die-cut some elements from cardstock as decoration. I added some pearlescent drops to these little pieces and added a laser cut chipboard title to the page.

For the next page spread I again used cardstock to create the designs of the page.

On the left hand side I added some stencilling with a stickable stencil.  I dabbed some pigment ink with a sponge over the stencil and then added some stamping, along with another laser cut chipboard piece. I did some journalling on the bottom of the page too.

Lastly for the last page of this album post, which is an envelope, I stencilled some pigment ink over a stickable stencil.  I then die-cut a cardstock circle, which I adhered to the centre of the stencilled clock and also added a Misc. Me pocket square. This envelope holds the yearly report and the comments that his teacher wrote about him.

So that is my album, thus far.  It is certainly a work in progress.

Many Thanks for stopping by the BoBunny blog today.

Have a super day!

  1. This is wonderful! It was smart of you to use neutral colors and designs that will last through the years. And it's so good that you've started on this while your son is still young - my kids are 41 and 37 and I'm just now gathering the photos and memorabilia to make albums for them!

  2. What a fabulous gift to give your son....something he will treasure forever! And I love that it spans [will span!] many years. The neutrals work brillianty for a boy - man album, too:):)

  3. I am sure this will be such a precious keepsake in years to come when your son is older and maybe has his own children. My kids always love comparing old pictures of family members of different generations as well as older shots of themselves with their siblings. I wish I had started scrapping earlier so I'd done this for my girls :-) This looks fabulous!!
