Boardwalk Beach Party Decor!

Hello Everyone!

It's Denise here again today, to share some party decor ideas with you, using the super, summery Board Walk Collection and Party Supplies.

Party Decor by Denise van Deventer using BoBunny Boardwalk Collection and Party Supplies

I love all things nautical and so had a few things around the house which I could add to this party scene.  I also created a shell wreath, from shells that have been collected by myself and my family over many years.

I layered up some thick cardboard for the base and then thoroughly covered this in glue.  I then sprinkled it with sand.  I then added the shells and paper pieces, using silicone glue.  Lastly I added some brown paint for definition. Here's a closer look.

I also made some coasters,  Again, I layered up some cardboard.  I added a think layer of gesso and allowed it to dry.  I tore paper rounds, inked the edges and then stuck this down. I added some more ink on the edges and then covered it all with some modge podge.

For the little scene I also used some mason jars, straws and labels from the party supply kit. These little labels and straws are just so super.

The invitations are wonderful, I just added some mixed media touches, to add a little more dimension to them and give them a more shabby and worn look.  I first stamped with a fish net stamp and then spritzed them with white paint and also edged them with white acrylic paint.

Maybe you will be hosting a summer party soon and can create a "splash" with some Boardwalk Party Goodies! ;-)

A Beachy Party With Boardwalk!

Hello BoBunny Fans

It's Denise here today, to share my centre-piece for a Boardwalk themed party.

I made the flip flops and the starfish from templates I found on the internet.

For the 2 starfishes, I added some small blue beads on the one and sand on the other, to give them some texture. I did use a scoring board, which certainly made it much easier to fold.

For the flip flops I cut 2 layers of patterned paper and put some 3D foam in between the 2 layers. The top layer I made slightly smaller than the bottom layer.  I also used some pretty BoBunny blossoms to add to the summery feel.

Here's a look at them from another angle.

What better for a beach themed party, than sand, shells, flip flops and sea elements!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by...

Have a super Sunday Funday!

What Do You Do In The Summertime?

Hello everyone! We hope you've enjoyed seeing what our designers do in the summer time this week! But we still want to know.....What do you do in the summer time? Do you go on vacation, swim in the ocean, work in your garden, have BBQ’s, or maybe craft? Today we have made two cards to celebrate things we do in the summer time!

The first card is a fun summer at the beach card! It is made with our delicious Boardwalk collection and it represents the things we enjoy about the beach!

The card is cut on a diagonal to reveal little surprises inside the card!

I made an inside pocket to tuck a gift card or some cash into for your favorite person…maybe they will take you for an ice cream cone on the boardwalk?

The second card is celebrating someone in your life who you enjoy spending time with; relaxing and talking, going for long walks on warm summer nights etc. The collection used is the beautiful Penny Emporium.

The card front is acetate and it makes for a beautiful full view of the inside of the card while still embellished on the outside!

Layering the flowers on the inside and the outside of the card gives it great dimension! Thank you for stopping by! We hope you are enjoying your summer....don't forget to scrap about it and share it on our Facebook page!

What Do You Do In The Summertime? The Beach!

Wish Upon A Starfish by Tracee Provis

Wish Upon A Starfish Tracee Provis Bo Bunny mixed media off the page Boardwalk 01

My favourite season of the year is Summer, there is nothing better than the sun on your face and the sound of the Ocean in the background. We are lucky to get a beach holiday every year and it is thoughts of these trips that inspired me to create this Summer Beach themed wall-hanging.

I used a piece of watercolour paper to create my background on, first I sprayed Frost Glimmer Spray and the Star stencil from the Cascade set. I then took some Blueberry ink and stamped and embossed using the pebble texture stamp from the Wall To Wall Texture set. After this was dry I used another Stickable Stencil, this time from the Brocade set, and stencilled my text on with Frost Glitter Paste. By using the blue colours and various mediums I was ale to create a whole palette of different blue hues.
I chose the Happy title from the Noteworthy pack in the Boardwalk Collection, the sand print design really does look like sand its so cool. And of course it wouldn't be a each without a seagull, this was fussy cut and I added him to the top of my wooden sign.

I cut apart the plank sheet of paper from the Boardwalk 6 x 6 pad, giving it some irregular wood like shapes on the ends of each plank, I used small dots of Chocolate Pearlescents on the ends and when dried they look like the small rivets you often find in wood planks.
I added more pieces from the Noteworthy Pack and the delightful little oar from the Layered Chipboard pack, a little gauze added to the beachy feel of the project.
Boardwalk has to be one of my Bo Bunny all time favourites!

What Do Yo Do In The Summertime? Everything!

JUST IN!!!!
Do you want to be one of the first to get your hands on these brand new party products?

If so, head on over to www.zulily.com starting Monday, July 27th through Wednesday, July 29th but only while supplies last so don't wait too long :)

Good Morning Everyone! Our theme this week is "What do you do in the summertime?". Well I know one thing for certain, here in Canada, summer is short, so we fit in as much as we can! So today I would love to share with you some of the things that my family does.

Find Your Paradise by Lynn Shokoples

I started off by making a cover for my 12x12 Misc. Me binder. I used one of the 12x12 patterned sheets from the collection along with some of the Noteworthy pieces. Then I tucked in some of the Pocket Squares from the collection. I wanted a fun and bright cover for my album. The border stickers from the Combo Sticker Sheet helped hold the cover in place.

For my pockets, I used the cards from the Journal Contents pack. So many fun ones to choose from! Then the fun begins of decorating each card. I wanted to keep a theme on my photos so I used the letter stickers from the Combo Sticker sheet to make words about some of the activities we do in the summer. Then came the Noteworthy pieces which get tucked here and there. Now out came the layered chipboard.. oh my... how cute are those pieces? I loved the pockets squares, so I made one card using six of them!! The quotes were just too sweet and I wanted to use them all. I finished off with some stamping using the Captured Stamp Set.

Pocket scrapping is such a fun way of doing a whole bunch of little layouts in one project. I look at each card as a mini layout. How do you do your pocket pages?

See what I mean by those little pockets squares with the sayings on them? Just perfect for summer fun photos.

Using multiple elements help give your cards dimension and lots of fun things to look at.
