Designers Choice-Sports and Craft Dies!

Hello BoBunny Fans!

Sometimes I have a request from my friends to create a Birthday Card for their relatives or friends , using a favorite photo. I thought this would be a great shopwase for the blog today, as you create something as a layout while keeping in mind that would also be fabulous as a greeting.  This friend wanted a specifically sports themed card for her soccer fanatic husband.

So I started with the card base at 5 x 7 and starting adding the paper layers from the awesome Game On collection.  I also cranked our and placed the soccer ball and basketball die cuts.  I put them together before started painting everything but didn't adhere them quite yet.

Then I applied Gesso and Crackle Paste, the first layer of Primer and when it dried - the black paste

Then I added some misting and added the color using Pentart acrylic paints

I also decided to try the more light papers for my background and on the side made my own layout using almost the same papers and die cuts.  Easy Peasy!

I only changed the composition a bit, and this time instead of using the stars Stencil and the crackle paste - I colored everything with the acrylic paints and wax metallic paste.  I love wax pastes!

I finished with some drops of spray.

Down by the Sea and Pentart Crackle systems!-With Marilyn

Hello everyone!   It's Marilyn here and today I made this super fun mixed media canvas with the new Down by the Sea collection and Pentart Crackle Products.

I had to work on a underwater scene with this adorable mermaid. First, I covered the canvas with the "Tide" paper. I cut out the mermaid from the Fantasy paper that I adhered with gel medium to the canvas.

I gave textures with the new Fancy Flourishes Stencils and Pentart Primer Paste in White. I adhered the 3D Powder with the Express liquid glue to give the sand effect you see here.

I painted the canvas with the Creamy Acrylic Paint by Pentart and I applied the Pentart Crackle product on the borders.  I have a suggestion for you, it produces a better result if you let it dry naturally, don't use the heat gun.

For the background I stamped with the Take Note Stamp and a permanent ink. The layered chipboard from the Down the Sea collection looks adorable on my canvas.

Serendipity and Pentart Two Step Crackle Paint with Kathi

Kathi here today sharing with you this adorable altered wooden box with mixed media  products. I used the new Serendipity paper line, which boasts very soft pastel colors with a big hint of spring. The technique that I decided to use was a crackle paint technique. This is one of my favorite techniques.  It's quite versatile and gives such a cute, distressed look and feel.

The finished box.

Applying the crackling system in this photo.

A close up of the finished crackling technique.

I used the crackling system on the front of the box as well, as you can see the paper comes through on the crackling lines.  I layered an element from the layered chipboard collection.

Applied chipboard flourish on the sides of the box,

On this side I place the chipboard flag banner as well as butterflies. This view you can see both the crackling on the wood as well as the paper line. I hope that you will try this technique out, it is simple and fun. The box was finished with blossom flowers an cut outs from the paper line,  sugar glitter paste was placed on the eggs in the bird nest.
