A little bit about me, ...I've always loved being creative and really am at my happiest at home surrounded by my family and busy with either scrapping, decorating and yep, even cooking and baking! I more often than not sit on our bed, flick the TV onto the Food Network and scrap away. I do have a scraproom/office but somehow I always find myself sitting on our bed with all my supplies piled around me when I scrap.
Speaking of my family, here is a little bit about us. I'm a mom to two sweet girls Chloe & Meagan, who I'm sure many of you have come to know through my scrap pages over the years. We live in Canada, where opposite to popular beliefs we do have 4 lovely seasons, including some very hot summers (it's not ALL snow, igloo's and sleigh dogs here! lol!) My girls just love to join me in my scrapping and boy does it turn into a big mess when we are all scrapping together, but we do have fun while we're playing! Here is a recent photo I took of my girls (I have to admit, they are pretty good about cooperating when getting their pic's taken, they only clown around some of the time :) ...
.....and of course there is my dear husband Steve, my rock and the love of my life, we met when we were just in our teens, got married and never looked back!
And last but not least.....we have our new l'il Labradoodle puppy Zoe.....a total handful at the moment but getting better everyday...
Here is a layout I made of our new baby with the beautiful new Et Cetera collection, I love love love the soft and pretty color combinations in this collection!
Supplies used for this project:
Patterned Paper: Et Cetera; Geography, Odds & Ends
6x6 paper pad (Et Cetera)
Noteworthy (Et Cetera)
Trinkets & Wraps: Et Cetera
Et Cetera Chipboard & Layered Chipboard
I thought it would also be fun today to share a new layout I made with the gorgeous new Welcome Home collection and share a video tutorial with you all on how to make your own polymer clay tile embellishments! Here is the layout ....
The branch of blooms I made myself from one of the patterned papers in the Welcome Home collection and the large creamy bloom is from the ETC. collection (love this bloom!) You can find a tutorial on how to make these blooms at my blogsite in the tutorials section. Here are some close-up pic's of the tiles I'm going to show you how to make....
Supplies used for this project:
Patterned Paper: Welcome Home: Porch Swing, Family, Dreams
6x6 Paper Pad: Welcome Home
CS Sticker Home Grown
Welcome Home Jewels
Welcome Home Combo Stickers
Bloom: et cetera Petals
Stamps: Gabrielle, Midnight Frost
Other: Polymer clay, paint
Here is my little video tutorial on how to make these fun little embellishments...
And finally I thought I would share with you all just a few of the layouts I've made over this past year or so using so many of my favourite Bo Bunny collections...
....And now for some fun stuff!! Leave a comment here at the Bo Bunny blogsite today and you will be eligible for a wonderful Bo Bunny prize! At the end of the month Bo Bunny will choose one of the commenters for a lovely prize pack! BUT.....I've got a little surprise for you too! Come to my blog 'Such A Pretty Mess' and leave a comment for me there too and I will choose a winner for some Yummy blog candy as well!!
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me better! ~ Gabrielle xx

ReplyDeleteI've been scrapping for a few years and did it passionately, but mostly because my mom loved to see how creative I could get. I stopped scrapping when my mother passed away 6 years ago. Scrapping was such a huge part of my life as well as hers but without her I just wasn't motivated anymore until I saw your work. You've helped me rekindle that passion and I've recently picked up where I left off. I know my mom is pleased as she peeks at me from heaven and sees me once again use my creative abilities through your inspiration to make beautiful pages. Thank you for making that impact in my life through your incredible work! I've got my groove back!!!
