All projects require some plain cardstock! BoBunny Double Dot products will make your OTP projects pop!
These Are The Days by Tracee Provis
I bought this simple painted frame with the idea of altering it. When I was asked to create a project using Double Dot cardstock I decided that turning one of the circles into a lighthouse would make a pretty beach scene, to display some photo's of me and a friend at the ocean.
I cut some shapes on my cutting machine and embossed them with clear embossing powder, which gives the Double Dot Cardstock an extra sheen. The shell is in 2 pieces and by embossing the top piece it darkens to give it enough of a contrast to make it look a little more realistic.
One of the many reasons I love Double Dot Cardstock is it's ability to be shaped, bent, stitched, misted you name it, you know you are going to get a beautiful result every time. I gave the fish a scaly look by stitching circles of vellum over the top of the Chiffon Dot Cardstock and stitched around the edges. The addition of the Frosting Jewels gave it a final delicate touch.
After I had cut all my shapes I layered them all up onto the base of the frame. All in all I used 14 different shades of Double Dot Cardstock and this doesn't even cover half of the range of colours they produce. I hope my friend likes her little gift.

Fun rockin’ peeps by Maria Potapovich (mellpellmell)
Many of those who love scrapbooking, are mothers, grandmothers or aunts for young and curious kids.
We always want to do something interesting and useful to them. But for some reason LOs and cards do not keep their interest!
We always want to do something interesting and useful to them. But for some reason LOs and cards do not keep their interest!
I think kids can enjoy making these rockin’ peeps and then have fun playing with them!
In addition they are cute and they rock back and forth. They are also very useful
they help teach to distinguish the difference in amounts and you can learn to count with their help!
I want to tell you a secret, these chicks are perfect to decorate a baby's room or an Easter feast!

ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites is Bapa (my Dad) with my eldest at age 4 sitting on the counter - he is getting a huge Salmon ready to BBQ for Christmas dinner and he holds it up to me and as I shoot the photo my daughter turns to me with the biggest shocked face and says, "A fish can be big as me?" 'Click' priceless photo with recipe card for Christmas BBQ/Stuffed Salmon!
