Hey pocket style scrappers, check out this 12 x 12 Misc Me tutorial for some fabulous ideas!
I Love My Dog by Irene Tan
Hello everyone! Today, I'm sharing two pages from my 12 x 12 Misc Me album. This is an album which I've used to record pictures of Hiro growing up.
Here are some details on these pages.
There are a few emails from my blog readers asking how I get my Misc Me pages to look cohesive and the colors works together nicely. Therefore, for today's tutorial assignment, I will share some simple steps on how I normally create my Misc Me pages. So, here goes.
Step 1: Choose the pocket design for your pages. There are many designs to choose from BoBunny's 12 x 12 Misc Me Page Protector Variety Pack. (Note: When choosing the design, do take into consideration the number of photographs and their sizes that you wish to display on this two pages.)
Step 2: Plan out the layout of this two pages by temporarily placing the photographs and your chosen journal pieces on top of the pockets. I love to use BoBunny's beautiful journal packs and journal box set for my journal pieces. (Note: Make sure the pages look cohesive and you are satisfied with the color combination at this step)
Step 3: Plan on your layering for each pocket. I normally use the coordinating Noteworthy packs and the 6 x 6 paper pad for this step.
Step 4: When you're done with all the planning, it's time to start working on each pocket individually. First, I adhered the layering to each pocket. At this step, I will so some stamping on some of the pockets to add some details to them.
Step 5: Then, I used some gel pens to add more details on each pocket. At this stage, you could also use some washi tapes to add some colors to each pocket.
Step 6: Add some hand stitching to the some of the journal pieces. This will normally be my last step before I insert the photographs and my journal pieces into the clear pockets.
Step 7: Add dimensional embellishment on top of the clear pockets. This will be the time I normally add chipboard pieces, flowers, jewels, brads, buttons, ribbons or trinkets.
I hope with this simple tutorial, it will be super easy for you all to work on your next Misc Me pages!

Happy Birthday Misc Me by Lynn Shokoples
It was so easy to pick which Double Dot cardstock to use. There are colors that match each collection beautifully. All of the photos were taken in March which was my big birthday this year. So it was fun to document some of my favorite things and what happened during the month. I have an app on my phone called "collect" where it can make your photo into a Polaroid and you can journal right on the photo. I thought this would be a fun app for Misc Me.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. We would love to see your Misc Me pages, so I hope you share them with us on our Facebook page!! Have a wonderful day everyone!!

Happy Birthday Misc Me by Lynn Shokoples
Good Morning Everyone! Today I'm sharing a few pages from my Misc Me binder featuring the Double Dot Cardstock. For me I usually use cardstock to back photos, but what else could you do? Well.. then the idea came to me. Why not make some embellishments? This is where my handy dandy cameo came in. I had so much fun playing with the cameo and the Journal Box set of cards. I have the cut files that I used for my pages on my blog where you can download them for free if you would like.

For the little Days of the week tickets, I used the negative cut outs to decorate my calendar pocket. You can cut and trace embellishments too. Like arrows or chevrons.

I bought this simple painted frame with the idea of altering it. When I was asked to create a project using Double Dot cardstock I decided that turning one of the circles into a lighthouse would make a pretty beach scene, to display some photo's of me and a friend at the ocean.
I cut some shapes on my cutting machine and embossed them with clear embossing powder, which gives the Double Dot Cardstock an extra sheen. The shell is in 2 pieces and by embossing the top piece it darkens to give it enough of a contrast to make it look a little more realistic.
One of the many reasons I love Double Dot Cardstock is it's ability to be shaped, bent, stitched, misted you name it, you know you are going to get a beautiful result every time. I gave the fish a scaly look by stitching circles of vellum over the top of the Chiffon Dot Cardstock and stitched around the edges. The addition of the Frosting Jewels gave it a final delicate touch.
After I had cut all my shapes I layered them all up onto the base of the frame. All in all I used 14 different shades of Double Dot Cardstock and this doesn't even cover half of the range of colours they produce. I hope my friend likes her little gift.

Fun rockin’ peeps by Maria Potapovich (mellpellmell)
Many of those who love scrapbooking, are mothers, grandmothers or aunts for young and curious kids.
We always want to do something interesting and useful to them. But for some reason LOs and cards do not keep their interest!
We always want to do something interesting and useful to them. But for some reason LOs and cards do not keep their interest!
I think kids can enjoy making these rockin’ peeps and then have fun playing with them!
In addition they are cute and they rock back and forth. They are also very useful
they help teach to distinguish the difference in amounts and you can learn to count with their help!
I want to tell you a secret, these chicks are perfect to decorate a baby's room or an Easter feast!

Double Dot comes in different designs and an awesome array of colors! I chose autumnal tones from the vintage range and plain Double Dot and used both sides of the papers - polka dots for the base of my layout and the shabby vintage look to mount my journalling block. For the scalloped borders I chose to use the plain side.
Our gorgeous wee man Dougal. I've inked around the edges and randomly added BoBunny stamps to create my background.
Doodling along the scalloped borders adds definition, preventing them from disappearing in quite a layered cluster.

Today we are featuring our Double Dot which is beautiful quality cardstock with complete variety of designs that can help give your project that special "oomph". I gathered a number of coordinating papers to my photo to begin.
I used a mask and some modeling paste, then added some spray mist splatters to accentuate the colors in my photo and on the background Double Dot. I cut several die cut elements from a variety of Double Dot papers and layered them with a bit of cheesecloth for more texture.

I like to journal on a layout, whether its hidden for a personal note or in full view. A double layout is a really easy way of telling your story, or in this case the loveable things about Dougal & using your own handwriting is a great way of including YOU! In the layout for generations to look back on. It may not be perfect - mines not quite straight - but that's not what its about!
Doodling along the scalloped borders adds definition, preventing them from disappearing in quite a layered cluster.
Layers, layers layers! Some leaves are cut from Double Dot, others from the Noteworthy range, and all either left flat or layered with chipboard, giving oodles of dimension. A little faux sewing along the dog collar ties all the doodling together.

I used a brown double dot and Primrose collection for my assignment. I think that the combination of brown and pink, pearls, and a lace paper match well. The Double Dot paper has firm thickness, it does not wave even if applied the mist.

Keeping caught-up with 2014 has been MUCH easier, thanks to BoBunny Misc Me products.
Even with an overly-full schedule, I was able to capture some Easter memories in this quick two-page spread in my 12x12 Misc Me binder.
Journaling cards and papers from Modern Miss and Our Lil' Monster coordinated perfectly for my desired color palette of gold, aqua, and navy. I even cut a border sticker in half, by adhering it along the two rows of journaling cards, and cutting down the center with micro-tip scissors. I love the finished look of the tiny scrolls above and below the row of photos.
Another quick tip for the 12x12 Misc Me, is to cut an existing 12x12" paper into four 6x6" squares. The gradient effect with this particular paper looks great in the divided page protector.
I dressed up the yellow polka-dot cards with some chipboard hearts. A washi tape border over the top of the page protector unifies the design.

Continuing with our "Pinspiration" our designers have created some fabulous cards!
Believe In Yourself Card by Agnieszka Bellaidea
If I could clone myself, one Agnieszka would spend her days just with Pinterest. I like to look at so many different boards. The idea about making cards while inspired by photos from there was such a great idea. I liked happy romantic look and was trying to get this look by fussy cutting butterflies and also by hand stitching.
I also liked the color combo a lot and mixing Primrose with Baby Bump was my way of creating similar look.
BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Bliss, Garden /Primrose; Miracle, Expecting / Baby Bump
Butterfly Kisses Card by Agnieszka Bellaidea
With my second card I went for more contrast but still added blue and pink from Baby Bump and Primrose papers. I did some hand stitching, more fussy cutting and I also created several layers.
BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Bliss, Garden, Memories, Joy / Primrose; Expecting, Sweet Dreams / Baby Bump; Graduation / Pop Quiz
Celebrate Card by Denise van Deventer
The inspiration for this card came from the pinwheels in the board, as well as the colors of the board.
The striped paper from the Modern Miss collection was great for the pinwheel, as the stripes allowed for easier scoring.
I punched the edge of the striped paper for my pinwheel and this gave it a nice soft look.
To add some depth and texture to the card, I embossed the background with a swirly stamp and clear embossing powder and then added some colour around the image.
BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Fashion, Party / Modern Miss
Cardstock: Island Mist Dot
Noteworthy: Modern Miss
Brads: Modern Miss
Chipboard: 12 x 12 / Modern Miss
Stamps: Flourishes & Such; Stained Textures
Blossoms: Wildberry Daisy; Buttercup Daisy
Many Thanks card by Denise van Deventer
The inspiration from the Pinterest board came from that first image, where it has those 3 pictures so closely hung, that they look like 3 panels. So this little seed of inspiration was used for the design of the card, where I created the 3 panels. The paper was embossed and then distressed and inked.
I chose to use the colors of the board again too and so The Avenues was the perfect choice.
I distressed and inked all my papers and this really gave the soft look that I was wanting to achieve.
BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Antique, Home, Trellis / The Avenues
Cardstock: Blush Dot, Tutu Dot, Island Mist Dot
Noteworthy: The Avenues
