Here are three very simple steps along with a picture tutorial on how to create these fun butterflies.
First, you will need the Flutter Dies and a piece of transparency or acetate. Use the dies on the transparency via a die cutting machine. The thin dies won't cut through the transparency but it will form a gorgeous embossed image. You can fussy cut out the outer lines of the butterflies using scissors.
Second, you will want to outline and color some parts of the butterflies using Pentart Contour Liners. These areas will be resistant to the glass paint that we will be using in the next step. Make sure it dries completely before proceeding to the next step.
Next, paint the butterflies using a brush and some glass paints, I did not fully cover the butterflies as I want to have the translucent effect on them. TWhen all are painted and dried, you can start adding more dimensions and details to them. You can fold up their wings, add more details using Pearlescents and Double Dot jewels.
Hope you all like this simple tutorial and see you all soon!
