Faith and Patina Effects-Mail Art project by Irene

Hello BoBunny fans! It's Irene here and for today's post, I would like to share a piece of mail art created using some fun and messy techniques. Today's mail art features the beautiful Faith collection by BoBunny and some patina effects products by Pentart.

Take a look at all the cool textures and dimensions on this mail art. I've used several mediums to create the blended textures on it. Check out the details in close-ups below.

To create the crackled background, I've used BoBunny crackle paste and primer. Then, to add colors to it, I've used glimmer spray and then patina products by Pentart.

The patina products creates the gorgeous metallic effect on this mail art. I've used Pentart Patina Effect Powder and Reagent. For depth in colors, I've also used Patina liquid. For more dimension and textures, I use Pentart 3D balls and powder.

And now, I have a little sad news to share. Today's post will be my last post here on BoBunny's DT. I've designed for BoBunny for almost 7 years and it is one of my favorite go to brands for scrapbooking and art supplies. If it is not because of some personal reasons, I would have stayed on. Thank you so much to BoBunny for giving me this opportunity and also thank you very much to all of you who has supported and liked my work here all these years.

Life in Color and Pentart Metallic Wax Paste with Irene

Hello Everyone! It's Irene here and my assignment for today is to create a layout with 3 different looks using BoBunny's Life In Color collection with Pentart Metallic Wax Paste. Here is a collage of my layout in 3 versions.

Life Is A journey Layout by Irene Tan using BoBunny Life In Color Collection

Now, let's take a look at my first layout. It's a clean and simple layout which only involves some cutting and pasting onto the layout. I've cut out several images from the pattern papers and use them to layer on the layout.

Moving on to the second layout. This time, I've raised the difficulty a bit by adding some mixed media techniques on it. I've done some stamping, misting, inking and stenciling on it.

Finally, here is the third layout. This time, I've cut out more intricate images from the pattern papers to add to the layout. I've also added several different elements such as die-cuts and flowers to it. I've cut out some keys and key holes using the Royal dies by BoBunny. The die-cuts and flowers are painted with some Pentart metallic wax paste to create the shiny look on it. To give more dimension to this layout, I've added some brads and BoBunny transparent gel (extra shine!) to some of the embellishments.

Hello BoBunny fans! It's Irene here. For today's post, I'm sharing a layout created using the new fun and colorful "Faith" collection by BoBunny.

Faith Layout by Irene Tan using BoBunny Faith Collection

I've used some mixed media techniques to create the background for this layout. I've used some white gesso by BoBunny and Pentart Lasur Gel paint to add textures and colors to the background.

I've used some stencils with the white gesso to create textured images and some resist to the lasur gel paints.

Make a Splash and Pentart Lasur for Indoor/Outdoor with Irene

Hello BoBunny Fans! It's Irene here!. For today's Technique Tuesday post, I will share a very simple technique using gesso as a resist paint. I've created a canvas to demonstrate this technique.

Travel The World Altered Canvas by Irene Tan using BoBunny Make A Splash Collection

I've used the fun and beautiful "Make A Splash" collection by BoBunny to create this canvas. This canvas is filled with textures and dimensions. Here are some details on it.

Now, let's move on to the step by step tutorial on how to create the background for this canvas using the gesso as resist technique.

Travel The World Altered Canvas by Irene Tan using BoBunny Make A Splash Collection

Step 1) You will need some white gesso, a palette paint knife, a canvas and the "Under The Sea" stickable stencil. Put the stencil on top of the canvas and use a palette knife to apply some white gesso on top of it. To get a more dimensional and textured image, apply a generous amount of gesso. Let it dry completely.

Step 2) When the gesso is all dried, use a brush to apply some Pentart Lasur Outdoor and Indoor Paint on it. I've used the color olive for this step.

Step 3) Next, mist some BoBunny's frost glimmer spray on top of the canvas. While it is still wet, also mist some water over it to create some blending.

Step 4) For more depth, I've used a brush to add some Pentart Lasur Indoor and Outdoor paint (Ebony) in the middle of the canvas. Then, I've mist it again with water for blending.

Step 5) Use a wet tissue and light dab on the areas with white gesso. This will remove some of the paint on top of it. I did not remove all of the paint because I want a more natural blending look for this canvas. You can dry the whole canvas with a heating tool.

Step 6) For the last step, to create the dimensional shell on the bottom of the canvas, I've used a stencil from the "Under the Sea" stencil, a palette knife and some BoBunny Caribbean glitter paste. Put the stencil over the canvas and apply the glitter paste over it generously. You will have a nice sparkly dimensional shell when it is dry.

Felicity and Pentart Contour Liners with Irene

Hello BoBunny fans! It's Irene here with my first post for 2017 and today, I'm going to show you all how you can create some fun and interesting embellishments to decorate your projects with. Can you guess it from the picture below? Yes, some acetate or transparency butterflies!.

Here are three very simple steps along with a picture tutorial on how to create these fun butterflies.

Altered Mail Art by Irene Tan using BoBunny Felicity Collection

First, you will need the Flutter Dies and a piece of transparency or acetate. Use the dies on the transparency via a die cutting machine. The thin dies won't cut through the transparency but it will form a gorgeous embossed image. You can fussy cut out the outer lines of the butterflies using scissors.

Second, you will want  to outline and color some parts of the butterflies using Pentart Contour Liners. These areas will be resistant to the glass paint that we will be using in the next step. Make sure it dries completely before proceeding to the next step.

Next, paint the butterflies using a brush and some glass paints, I did not fully cover the butterflies as I want to have the translucent effect on them. TWhen all are painted and dried, you can start adding more dimensions and details to them. You can fold up their wings, add more details using Pearlescents and Double Dot jewels.

Hope you all like this simple tutorial and see you all soon!

You Are The Best Layout by Irene Tan

To create this layout, I used several products from 3L adhesives. First, I've used some EZ Runner Ultra to attach all the pieces in this layout. I've also used some 3L crafty foam tape to create dimensions in the layers of the pattern papers and photograph.

I've decorated the layout with tons of die cut flowers from the Noteworthy pack. I used 3L Dodz medium and some 3D foam squares to attach them to this layout. This will create more depth and dimensions here as well Besides that, I also used two 3L keepsake envelopes to create shaker packs and layer them on the layout.

Let It Snow layout with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new BoBunny layout post. This week BoBunny DT girls are working with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and creating with one of our new Fall release collections. Today is our layouts day and this is my  fancyWinter layout here for your inspiration.
I picked this most wonderful and just released Winter Wishes collection and scrapped the photos from our Italian sky trip a couple of years ago.
Actually, living in Israel means that you don't see any Winter at all (with weather kind of like Florida). So when we travel and there is some snow around I took all possible photos  to remember and to scrap later.
I used Winter Wishes Chill cardstock as my basic cardstock and added two more smaller layers with Snowfall (back side) and Whimsy (back side) cardstocks.
Each layer was painted around with Pentart Metallic Pink paint. I used 3L Crafty Foam tape to arrange the layers in this kind of 3D arrangement.
The folded curtain was made with Icicles cardstock and arranged with the very same 3Lfoam tape . It was so easy to glue all die cuts from Noteworthy pack over the folded 3D " curtain" with the very same glue tape.

The small die cut dots were glued with 3L DODZ (those clear 3/8'' round glue dots that were perfect for small round die cuts from the pack).

Each dot was painted with Silver Glitter paste over them.

The smaller photos were inserted into the hand cut slots and I added Pentart Pink Acrylic paint with new Winter Fun Stickable Stencil over the photos. It makes those monochromatic photos more interesting and adds a lot of dimension to those kind of flat images.

I made a kind of a keepsake piece with a hand cut paper clock and some chunky glitter using the most perfect 3L keepsake envelope.

So easy to use and so effective on the page!

One single layered chipboard was added to connect all three photos as shown:

And another look over those painted snowflakes:

I really hope that you like my take on Winter and enjoy our week long blog hop with Scrapbook Adhesives with 3L!

Huge thanks for visiting our blog !
