Elena here. Fall is officially here and I definitely adore this season of the year. So that is why I decided to create a Fall inspired canvas.

I chose a skinny long shape for my canvas as I kept the idea of falling leaves on my mind and wanted to showcase it on the canvas surface.
![Garden_Party_Canvas_Elena_September5_02.jpg Garden_Party_Canvas_Elena_September5_02.jpg](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlbV1XAmTsKV-nLOOieX_G1ZDNsRBD1qRtkwKREqwaM1Bb2VRHMi0Ur-3bgtVI6LFLuQJO_w2jh7vJUUyuPTZGkepBJcXElN0Qs2Gmru1BOv2NCvvabkwBGew-pUO19o_GBZkQg0kwfx6A/s640/Fallling_Leaves_Canvas_Elena_Sep05_02.jpg)
I started with creating the texture on my canvas using gesso , mists and stencil pastes.
I even used the stencil with the falling leaves and added the Gold Glitter Paste for more falling leaves effect.
![Garden_Party_Canvas_Elena_September5_03.jpg Garden_Party_Canvas_Elena_September5_03.jpg](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuarqr-87slbvWX4bWO5kaP_OA-qL6TMG1yS48qBCduvdbfhz-4KCnORkWCNHaGW3mLkPyUYdoPpU9A17ECp8bNvRWOyeg6ESK4XCfsFVYJArk7GPee9tcE73bp7VGNBjRpL_Gq9mKZwb5/s640/Fallling_Leaves_Canvas_Elena_Sep05_05.jpg)
For a dimensional look I stamped the images of the leaves on the Double Dots papers, cut them out and distressed the edges. I also used the crocheted, fabric and paper flowers from the Blossoms packs.
![Garden_Party_Canvas_Elena_September5_04.jpg Garden_Party_Canvas_Elena_September5_04.jpg](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCx3BUyPpQwjoiFZmCjKYB-Kzjtxkaf-XwmwftPy26wCWaT_Bdklr3hN0jCWf3VycEcrYmjmjeeYfzqN289fLWev3K7l7BCngm0MzmSjG0gds7Q5nxYnGBkM4fffB7NnsEuoRbq0RstYX1/s640/Fallling_Leaves_Canvas_Elena_Sep05_03.jpg)
But the main focus were the maple leaves that I drew freehand, no patterns or stencils for the shape and the colors. I used acrylic paints to draw them.

I cut out the quote from the new paper line - Garden Party as well as a few leaf vines and the cut out pieces from the Noteworthy paper.
![Garden_Party_Canvas_Elena_September5_07.jpg Garden_Party_Canvas_Elena_September5_07.jpg](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9FS6juUYqCX97e4O4rU7x-F_TkLgld26DRixwoFJvWtsCaR5ETUDF8OTdZS9i-gUPIoHLF_34T5HTM3NEqUdhvKEZr0mzLz2Wd9PRL68yjxlWplOgu1uNE_qufp_MdHnkAqUBX8PS4veF/s640/Fallling_Leaves_Canvas_Elena_Sep05_04.jpg)
To add a more crisp, fall feeling, much like the rain drops I added the jewels on the painted maple leaves.
