The ABC's of BoBunny - D

Today's blog post is brought to you by...
the letter D!!!

Lets start with
Don!

Don isn't only the husband of Jan, he is a major part of BoBunny.
Here is Don and Jan with their beautiful grandkids.

We thought we'd ask Don a couple of questions...

Q: What is it like working with the office of women?
A: I've learned to be emotional and not logical...
and they are funner than most of the guys I've worked
with in my previous occupation.

Q: Life before BoBunny?
A: Electrical engineering. He never thought
he'd work in the scrapbooking industry.

Q: Favorite part about working at BoBunny?
A: The treats! We have a good open family atmosphere
than a working atmosphere. Also, we get to
wear a lot of hats so its never boring.

Q: Official title?
A: Head gopher.
Don does accounting, inventory control, networks, computers,
purchase orders, minor carpentry, electrical work,
press checks, and whatever else needs to be done.

Here's Don and Jan dressed up in their biking gear for Halloween.

Q: How do you feel about working with family?
A: His wife is legally his boss 24/7/365.
She's the boss at home and at work.
He said he still can't tell his son anything...
son's never listen to their dad's unless they want something.

Q: Travel with BoBunny?
A: Hong Kong, China, South Africa, Spain,
Netherlands, Chicago, Florida, California, Las Vegas.

Q: Funny BoBunny story?
A: At one of the trade shows, Don fell asleep in the hotel room
and the BoBunny girls painted his toenails. When he woke up,
he was walking around and stubbed his toe.
He looked down and realized all his toes had all been painted.

Don also is a good cook. He's really into cars and motorcycles.
Likes old things and collects toys...old metal cars, etc.

Next we have...
Delilah was one of our number one selling collections in its day.

Meet Delilah...

Here are some of our favorite projects created with the Delilah Collection.

Step By Step - Stamping

Whooooo would like to see another tutorial?

You.....oh good, cause I've got another one lined up for you.

Though it's a tried and true technique, of making your own patterned paper, I wonder if it's one of those older techniques that has been forgotten for new trends.

Having just gotten my hot little hands on some of the new Bo Bunny release goodies, I couldn't whip out my new stamps fast enough.

Here are my basic supplies. Cardstock, some clear stamps, acrylic blocks, and ink.

First, I stamp the mum/tree background stamp in a russet color all over my cream cardstock. Making sure I stamp off the edges as well, and using some scrap to keep my table clean.

Next, I stamp some of these smaller stamps from the Falling for You set, this little stamp I stamp all over in the smaller between spaces, not even worrying if some of the stamps overlap a bit.

Next, I used the medium circle on my Elements set, and kissed the stamp off on my scrap, then stamped it- this gives more of a weathered lighter look to the ink.

Here is my paper finished. What to do with it? Let it dry overnight.

Next, stamp your tree- two layers and two colors- the same russet color for the leaves, and a dark brown for the trunk.

I fussy cut the tree out, cut strips of Delilah paper, even trimming the brown with scallop scissors, and glued it across the front of this small treat box. I foam taped the tree, then added it to the center of my box.

I added a cute little owl to my tag, stamping it twice, once on pink, and once on my own patterned paper. Then cut the owl out from the pink paper and add foam tape to it.

I added my paper and owl to a piece of pink paper, then cut a tag shape and scalloped the bottom edge with scissors. I added a couple googly eyes to him as well.

I also created a matching birthday card, using a lace punch, and fussy cut another tree for the card. I added a button to the tree for a little extra touch. And of course, added another strip of that fabulous homemade patterned paper!
