Hi everyone! It's my turn on the Bo Bunny Blog! First, I have to admit that I am NOT a writer! I always worry about what to say in these type of situations. Hopefully, you will all just go with it for me! :)
I have been designing for Bo Bunny for a little over a year now. It is terrific how wonderful working for and with Bo Bunny is! I am forever telling my friends what a great team and what great Bo Bunny support we have. It is truly a dream come true to work with so many fantastic people. Of course, as you already know, Bo Bunny ROCKS the products!!
Guess what? Today is my anniversary! I've been married to a wonderful guy for 24 years. We live in the great state of Texas! We are born and bred Texans and couldn't hardly imagine living anywhere else. I was a stay at home mom until my children went to college. Now, I guess I would say that I'm retired. I keep myself pretty busy though! In addition to scrapbooking, I love to sew and paint. I also love decorating and since we moved to a new home 2 years ago, that has kept me up to my ears in projects!
Here we are at a business banquet last summer. It's sad how few pictures that we have of us together. I tend to be behind the camera, instead of in front of it.
I mentioned our children earlier. We have been blessed with 2 great kids! Our oldest, Jade, has graduated from college and moved away to work. We are really lucky that she's only a few hours away. This is Texas and it's BIG so 2 1/2 to 3 hours isn't that far for us! :) Our youngest, Alex, is a senior in college. He goes to Texas A&M. Gig 'em! He's only 1 1/2 hours from home, so we are thankful that we still get to see him often, too!
I started scrapbooking when my daughter was a senior in high school. I loved it!! The plan was to make her a senior album and then make my son one when it was his turn. Needless to say, that is not quite how it worked out. I have been scrapbooking for around 5 years now and those two books have turned into a LOT of books! Most days, I do something creative. When we moved, I got my very own craft room for the first time! I also sew, paint and have my computer in this room. I love wrapping gifts, so that happens here, too. It is the most used room in our house!
So, I guess I should admit, that I can't be creative if I don't know where all my things are! These drawers from Ikea are great for holding all of my 'stuff'! Like I said, alot happens in this room and these drawers are able to hold all the tools and toys for my various hobbies!
This is slatwall that my embellishments and some of my pages hang from. Because my kids are my inspiration, the pages on my wall are all pictures of them together.
You just gotta love Ikea shelving!!
On to what we do! Scrapbook!!
I honestly don't have any idea what my style is. I truly love it all!! I know that I really like to add details to my pages and I haven't met an embellishment that I don't love! Shabby pages, bright pages, linear pages... I love them all! I tend to let my pictures dictate where my pages are going. I think that I move back and forth between styles. I do have to admit that I love anything girly! Even though I didn't plan it, the 3 pages that I'm showing you today are all girl pages. In my defense, my son hardly ever takes pictures!! When he lived at home, I could force him, but it doesn't work out so well now! :)
The new collections are FABULOUS!!! I can't get enough of them!! I can't wait to do some of my son's pages with them, too!
First up a page with the
Et Cetera Collection!
This collection is perfect alone or mixed with other collections! I can't wait to do some heritage pages with it, too.
Friends
I made this flower using the ribbon flower technique that I showed
here on this blog. Just change the size of the petals to 3 1/4 inches for the wider wraps fabric.
Supplies Used:
EtCetera Collection: Paper-Mail Room, Geography, Cut Outs. Trinkets, Buttons, Wraps, Petals, Noteworthy Combo Stickers, Layered Stickers, Live Love Laugh Stickers and Chipboard.
Next up is the
Welcome Home Collection!
This is my absolute favorite color combination! It's so gorgeous!!
Moments
Before our recent move, we spent 17 years living in the country. This picture will always remind me of the time our children were growing up surrounded by animals. It says 'Home' to me.
Supplies Used: Welcome Home Collection: Paper- Dreams and Portrait. Layered Chipboard, Buttons, Rub ons, Combo Stickers, Home Grown Stickers, Jewels. Double Dot Ribbon.
Finally, I couldn't resist the gorgeous colors of this collection!! They are so vibrant!!
Forever Fall
is sure to be making an appearance on several pages in my books!
She
This is one of my daughter's senior portraits. I have scrapped this picture in sepia before, but I couldn't resist using it again in color. Her shirts matched the colors so perfectly!
I used a McGill punch to make the sunflower on this page.
To emboss the chipboard letters, I just peeled a few layers off the back and ran them through my embossing machine. Easy!
Supplies Used: Forever Fall Collection: Paper- Sunflower and Dusk. Noteworthy, Trinkets, Brads, Combo Stickers, Chipboard, Graditude Stickers. EtCetera Collection Combo Stickers. Chunky Chips Alphabet. Double Dot Ribbon-Olive.
Last but not least, I thought that I would share a few previous favorites with you! Since it's back to school time and Learning Curve is my all-time favorite school collection, I want to include them!
Halloween is just around the corner so here are a couple of my ideas for a page and a project. These were both made using the adorable
Whoo-ligans Collection.
Thanks so much for hanging out for this long!!
