I also used some stamps and dies to diecut some embellishments to the project and I hope that you will like it.

I also have a process video fro this project to you that you will be able to see in the end of this post as soon as it´s up on youtube. Hope you will have some inspiration and tips from it.

Sunday Funday Christmas Advent!

Hello BoBunny Friends. It's Elena here today!

It seems that it's not early to start your Christmas preparations. I repeat it each time as each time I realize that I have missed something.

This time I decided to make my Advent calendar for the kids long time before.

I made small boxes of different sizes and cut out the houses images from Merry & Bright collection - so easy to do, even with your kids.

I like the combination of white and red for Christmas so I tried to keep it.

I also made some fussy cutting from other sheets of paper from this collection. However it was really fun to make the embellishements from the cuts.

You can use foam pads to make your embellishments pop up, but actually for the calendar you don't really need to do it.

Actually I had a pleasure to cut out all of those gift boxes from the same page, I adhered them to a small piece of paper, that I fold in a half and adhered to the top of the box.

It seems that each house is ready with the gifts.

First I thought that I will cover all sides of the box with a paper, but then I thought that to make the stamping on the boxes would be a great idea, quite fast and easy to follow. So most of the house boxes are stamped.

You can use any type of stamp, I chose the Written Background stamp.

I hope that my kids will love the house boxes I made for them. I tried to make them look not so complicated and attractive at the same time.

Marvelous Mixed Media Layout!

Hi There BoBunny Fans :)

Today I wanted to share with a mixed media layout using Take a Hike.

In the Southern Hemisphere we are heading into winter so the autumnal colours of this collection were perfect to scrap this photo of my wee fella Dougal romping around our back yard :)

To create the foundation for my background I have ripped the edges of three sheets of paper and then adhered them to my base piece of Take a Hike.

Here you can see the dimension of the long cluster. I've only applied adhesive to part of the banner so that I can curl the tips of the banner and give it a bit more oomph :)  After die cutting out all the leaves I used the die as a stencil and ink over the back of the die, onto the paper so that the leaves had all their little creases and lines which helps make them a little more real and defined.

A smaller cluster to the side of the photo ties the whole layout together :)

This close up shows you the different mixed media colours I've used.  I used the script stencil from the Brocade set, colouring the texture paste with gold glimmer spray, giving a creamy effect.  I created the darker green splatters by mixing Frost and Mint sprays with a drop of Bronze.  This was splattered randomly over the page as well as more splats of gold and bronze.  Some random stamping with my favourite stamps finished it off :)

Thanks for popping by today!
