Twist & Pop with Merry & Bright!

Twist-and-pop Christmas card by Ulrika Wandler

Hi there! Ulrika here to show how to make a twist-and-pop card which is so popular nowadays! I have a tutorial for you today, and I saved the best for last: A movie to show how this card works. But before that, let's start off with the measurements and how to fold the pieces.

I cut out the three pieces that I used for the card. These pictures show you how to fold them.

Then I decorated the piece that will pop up when the card opens. I used some sweet chipboard embellishments and some stamps together with embossing powder.

Then I used some strong doublesided tape to attach the piece which is the mecanism to make the inside piece "twist and pop". As you can see I have also decorated the inside of the card.

Then I attached the decorated piece on to the mechanism piece with double sided tape. Look closely on the picture where to put the tape! It's important that you only put tape in the upper right corner and lower left corner for the mechanism to work!

Let me show you this little movie I made. Here you can see how the card works when it twist and pops!
Good luck on making your own card!

Festive Fine Arts Friday with Merry & Bright!

Hello BoBunny friends!

Emmy here today and it is my turn to share a new Fine Arts project with the amazing Merry & Bright collection. I used an old picture from my baby Theo, but I like it very much and I think it is pretty festive and wintery!

Add a dimensional layer using a mask and a glitter paste. Allow it to dry again and sprinkle Glimmer spray on top to soften the colour. Once the Mist has dried use stamps to create extra pattern on your background.

Use die cut embellishments and fussy cut images to create the composition around the picture.

Use different colors Pearlescents and rhinestones to enhance your embellishments.

Mixed Media Layout with Merry & Bright!

Hello crafty friends today I am sharing a Mixed media project highlighting the Merry and Bright Collection with Double Dot mixed media.

This is the full view of the canvas, this canvas layout went together smoothly.  Some just fall into place.  The background paper was my inspiration for the deer in front of the Christmas tree.  I first distressed the edges of the 12 X 12 paper then adhered it to the canvas using Mod Podge, once that was dried I then proceeded with creating the snow & the stars in the sky.

The bottom and the top of the canvas I used the Cascade stackable stencils using a heavy media gel and sparkling compound, Once they dried I had fun playing with the DoubleDot glimmer sprays. While that was drying I used Double dot Pearlescents to both of the trees, framing the photo with a distressed piece of pattered paper and cutting out the deer. I distressed around the deer with chalk ink. Once everything was dried I then began to layer the elements on to the canvas.

1 Layout 3 Ways with Merry & Bright!

Hello everyone! It's Solange here with you today to share 1 layout 3 ways! It's so interesting to see some steps of a layout. First I started with photos, BoBunny paper and vellum and stickers for the title:

But, it's too simple for my style. Then I added a  lot of stamps:

Some close ups of the stamps (I love stamps!):

But I wanted more elements, then I added a little of texture with BoBunny gesso white and watercolor. After I applied more embellishments :

Merry & Bright Shaker Cards!

Hello friends! Today it's Elena S with you and I will show you Christmas cards from a wonderful collection Merry & Bright. My cards have turned out multilayered with a shaker in which sequins are visible. Why have I used sequins? Because I wanted a brilliant Christmas, bright and beautiful, and this collection best of all suits for this purpose!  Here is how it is done.

At first I cut out two circle and a square from Foil Vellum: Merry & Bright

on a flat surface I have placed sequins and on diameter have imposed glue

Next I have pasted an opaque square and a circle from above

and here is how these shakers with sequins look!

Thank you for attention! Have a nice day!

Documenting Your Very Merry Christmas!

Hello, Katherine here to show you some Merry and Bright pocket pages! For the past couple of years I have created an album to document the days in December up to and including Christmas - there are loads of ways you can do it, I like to use the 5 by 8 albums as it gives me just the right amount of space to document what happens.

May your Christmas be Merry Misc Me by Katherine Sutton using BoBunny Merry and Bright

It is really good to get ahead of the game with your page layouts, and have the album prepared as much as you can ready for the start of December as it then makes it really easy to just slot in the photos and add the journalling.  This year I am using the beautiful Merry and Bright collection and I also wanted to add a bit more of a mixed media feel to my album and add some paint.

I like to have my first page as an introduction and the Misc Me Journal Contents pack has this beautiful count down sheet in it - I added some gesso, and layers of paper behind the 3D chipboard piece, as well as some muslin and a die cut strip using the elegant die with some double dot paper.

For my first page I added white gesso, and then the large Father Christmas from the Noteworthy collection, as well as a couple of the Pocket Squares.  I used the music stamp from the It Is Written stamp collection and used sugar glitter paste behind Father Christmas to add some sparkle.

Onto the pocket page; the little houses I have used for my day numbers are from the Merry and Bright paper, I  used the white gesso, then the snowflake stencil and some silver glitter paste for the background, then I cut out a snowman from the smallest 2" pocket squares and tucked him behind the house adding a few gems to his buttons.  I decorated the Christmas tree note card with some gems, and added a couple of flags.

For the 6 by 4" card I again used one of the Misc Me Pocket Squares - and scored 1/4" on the left hand side to create a flap for my photos to hide behind.  I then layered up the 3" squares on one of the Love Squared die cuts - these dies work really well for matting and layering the Misc Me Pocket Squares.  I used the Captured stamp with silver ink on the edge of the 6 by 4" card "Remember This". On this page I normally have some photos of advent calendars, and a a bit of journalling.

For my second page I added a few embellishments to the journal cards - I cut out the penguin from one of the 2" squares and layered it up.  For the 2nd 3 by 4" card I added some snow in the form of pearlescent drops to my date card, and tucked a pocket square  behind the house, adding some muslin as a snow layer at the bottom of the card.  For the bottom 6 by 4" card I used the dies and a square "On the Nice List" as an embellishment, I'll use a 4" square or 3 by 4" photo here.

On the right hand side I cut the middle out of one of the 4" Misc Me Pocket Squares, added acetate and then  foam tape around the edge, then sprinkled some sequins, beads and punched stars to create a little shaker with a Russian doll on the inside.  For my final 6 by 4 I started with a gesso base, then added a strip from the elegant die - with added pearlescent bling, muslin and silver ribbon, then another Russian doll.  For these early pages, I often just document what is happening, what we are watching, what the season is like and any of the start of Christmas preparations like Christmas cards.

For this card I used the Cranberry Double Dot as the base, and then dry painted some white gesso on, added my house with a 2" Misc Me Pocket Square card layered behind, a little bit of cotton and muslin and then I painted on the snow with sugar pearlescent.  If you tap the paper (flick it gentle with your finger) you help the pearlescents make a more domed pearl shape, and get rid of any peak.

My die cut was initially on white card, so I covered it in silver ink, then added ribbon and a 2" Square card as the focal point on foam pads.  Again I used silver cotton and added a little heart from the Noteworthy collection.

Sunday Funday Christmas Advent!

Hello BoBunny Friends. It's Elena here today!

It seems that it's not early to start your Christmas preparations. I repeat it each time as each time I realize that I have missed something.

This time I decided to make my Advent calendar for the kids long time before.

Advent Calendar by Elena Olinevich using BoBunny Merry & Bright Collection

I made small boxes of different sizes and cut out the houses images from Merry & Bright collection - so easy to do, even with your kids.

I like the combination of white and red for Christmas so I tried to keep it.

I also made some fussy cutting from other sheets of paper from this collection. However it was really fun to make the embellishements from the cuts.

You can use foam pads to make your embellishments pop up, but actually for the calendar you don't really need to do it.

Actually I had a pleasure to cut out all of those gift boxes from the same page, I adhered them to a small piece of paper, that I fold in a half and adhered to the top of the box.

It seems that each house is ready with the gifts.

First I thought that I will cover all sides of the box with a paper, but then I thought that to make the stamping on the boxes would be a great idea, quite fast and easy to follow. So most of the house boxes are stamped.

You can use any type of stamp, I chose the Written Background stamp.

I hope that my kids will love the house boxes I made for them. I tried to make them look not so complicated and attractive at the same time.
