"Free Spirit" - 12 x 12 Layout and Video Tutorial featuring Summer Mood with Katherine

Hello Everyone!!  Katherine here with a summery, inky, scallopy page for you using Summer Mood. I love the ice-cream colours, perfect for sunny photos!

I won't talk too much about the page as there is a video you can watch that will take you through all the steps.  I started by creating some over-sized scallops with my WRMK Flower punch, and layered them up.  Then, I played with the Mandala and Picnic die sets with watercolours and some some confetti paste and muslin for a sea net effect.

There are lots of beautiful elements you can cut out from the cards in this collection.

Here are some of the layers of paper and water- coloured lollies from Summer Picnic.

Here you can see some of the layers of colour and painting as well as that beautiful confetti paste.

Have a look at the video - I hope you enjoy it and get a taste of my stlye and inspiration!

Thanks for spending a few minutes with us day! Hope to see you again very soon!

Katherine

Heritage Photo Frame - Featuring Once Upon a Lifetime with Katherine

Hi BoBunny Fans!  Katherine here with a frame/gift that I made for my Dad using a picture of his Mum and also some of the beautiful vintage papers from Once upon a Lifetime.

I used the Oval Chipboard frame, covering if first with a couple of coats of white gesso, but I kept the brush strokes very rough in keeping the vintage style.  I then inked around the edges with some brown inks to pull out the brush strokes and I also added some copper wax in various areas to tie in with the coppers in the papers.

Whilst all the paint was drying I set to work on creating lots of flowers from the 6" pad and using the Perfect Petals die.  I inked the edges of each flower and then pinched up the petals to give them dimension, for the centre bud I curved the petals outwards and then chose a coordinating jewel for in the middle of the flower.

I used some of the smaller flowers on their own and tucked a doily as an extra layer of laciness underneath.  I cut some of the leaves out of the green paper and tucked these around too.

In the papers you get some fantastic vintage plaques so I cut out the one that said "Mother" to add at the base of my frame.  I also added in some of the BoBunny blossoms and crochet flowers to my paper garlands too.

Thanks for popping in today!  Come back and see us soon!

Stay Awhile! 12 x12 "Paper Patchwork" Layout with Katherine

Hi All,

Welcome to the blog today.  It's Katherine here and I've made a page using Stay Awhile and some quilt like squares, showing of both sides of the papers, revesing the circles into kind of patchwork pattern.

It is sometimes hard to choose which side of the paper I like best, so this technique works really well for when you want to show both sides.  I cut out lots of 3" circles and then scored the edges and folded them in so the circles became squares and you get to see both sides of the papers!  You can watch what I do in the video below.

To further decorate some of the squares I added some of the intricately cut wooden hearts.

I used the Double Dot Damask paper French Vanilla as the base - it makes a beautiful vintage background.

I layered up some of the stickers for the title area and used the Let There Be Light stamps for the title.

I hope you enjoy the video.

Thanks for popping in today!

"Timeless" - A 12x12 Layout with Stay Awhile and BoBunny Craft Dies with Katherine

Hello Everyone!! Katherine here today with a page using Stay Awhile and French Vanilla Double Dot Damask.

To start, one of my favourite designs in the Stay Awhile pack is on the Together paper with it's beautiful blue and fern like fronds with rusty berries - so that was my main strip and color focal point for the page.  I edged it with one of the stickers from the sticker sheet - I cut the sticker in half on my guillotine and added down each side of the central strip.

I added some of the Clover Pansy blossoms to the side of my photos and hung one of the wooden bird cages, which I decorated with some Mocha jewels and tied up under the pansies.

I cut out one of the little rusty coloured houses from the Warm journal sheet, added a few jewels and then the sticker - Home is Where the Heart Is.

I added the jewels across my page to look like drips of paint.

I made a banner for my title using BoBunny's All Caps Alphabet Dies.  I hung them from some twine which is held in place mainly with glue, but also some strategically paced Emerald Green brads too.

Thanks for visiting with us today! Come back soon for more ideas and inspiration for your memory keeping!

Easel Fold Card Duo featuring Stay Awhile with Katherine

Hello Everyone,

Katherine here with some really easy Easel Fold cards using Stay Awhile.  This sort of card is great because it folds flat which is great for posting.

My basic design is a 12" by 4" piece of double dot card stock which I fold at 6" and then 9", both of those fold are mountain folds.  To make the card stand up you add an area on foam pads (in the case above the flower square) on the inside of your card, so you can tuck the front of the card behind it.

To decorate my cards I added a 5 3/4" by 3 3/4" purple panel from the paper Welcome on the base of my card and then as there is a fold in the middle of the front cover I added 2 panels to the front of my card (you can see this best in the last photo where both cards are flat).  To disguise the fold I created my colourful hills and just stuck them to the bottom panel, the same with the house so that they pop-up when you fold the card.

I snipped the hills to make it look like grass and inked the edges of all the papers to add a little more definition.

Here you can see the square that the front cover tucks behind, I added some of the Double Dot Blue Hues jewels on the flowers to coordinate with the ones on the main card to tie the looks together.

The same template, but this time I cut out lots of the coffee cuts, the perfect card for a coffee lover!  I stuck the coffee cups just to the bottom fold so that they pop up.

My sentiment is on foam pads which meant I could tuck all the cups behind it, and I added a few coordinating jewels for just a bit of shine.

Another coffee cup to provide the stop and hold the card up.

This should give you an idea of what the cards look like when flat, you can see the panel at the base and top on the front of the cards and how it  has been disguised with the hills and coffee cups.

Stay Awhile - Over-sized Layered Tag Trio with Katherine

Hello Everyone, Katherine here with a trio of tags made with the gorgeous Stay Awhile collection.  I love the color combinations in these papers and the designs are beautiful.  Truly a well designed "all occasion" line with warm and cozy feel.

Here are all three tags layered together, they are all 6 by 4" and can be used on presents, cards, a scrapbook page, or a decorative seasonal shadow box.

I used the damask side from the new chocolate brown damask paper as the base for this tag, then layered up the Together paper - both the blue and the rust side (the blue just pops with the colours in this collection).  I also used one of the sticker strips down the edge, and some of the purple sticker banner.  In this collection are several beautiful houses that you can cut out and add to your projects and I made this the focal point, then added lace, buttons and a doily to complete all the layers.

I did add a little wash of white gesso behind my central mounts and lots of brown ink around the edges of the papers.

For the next tag I started with Relax as the base, and used a mixture of the papers and stickers.  I cut out the mugs from the Warm paper and layered them together on foam pads.  I used several of the sticker ribbon strips - the roses and little line of coffee cups.

I used the large polka dot side of the new Damask Double Dot paper as the base for this tag, layering up a mixture of Relax and Together, then cutting out the journal card "Warm and Cozy" - I finished this with some of the Pearlescents in butterscotch and I cut out a little bouquet of flowers to add to the corner.

I love how all the colours work in this collection and there are lots of elements that you can cut out and use too.

Thanks for checking out the blog today!

Roses are Red, Violets are Blue . . . a Valentine Pop-Up Card featuring Only You with Katherine

Hello, Katherine here, I wanted to share a heart filled version of these Pop-Up box cards. You will love these fantastic cards since they fold flat to post, and then pop up and look beautiful on your shelf.   I used the Only You papers for my valentine/love themed cards.

I started with Wine Vintage Dot as my base, I trimmed it to be 6" by 12", then scored vertically at 2 3/4", 5 1/2" and 8 1/4" and 11" (the one inch section at the end is the flap to seal the box together.  I then twisted the paper round and scored at 2 3/4" all the way along.

I used my Ornate Heart die as a template for the back, and drew around it, then made cuts down on a diagonal for the box to open out.

Inside the box I added some paper strips and used these it with flowers from the noteworthy paper plus another heart die cut.

I also added some jewels to the corners of the paper too and used one of the 3 by 4" journal cards to make the title for the card.

Another pastel version of the card made in a similar way, this time I used lots of punched hearts and then stuck them on acetate so they popped out of the box.  I again used a 3 by 4" card for the sentiment.

Here you can see all the punched hearts lined up together - the acetate works really well as an invisible support.

Only You-A Valentines Mini-Book featuring Only You with Katherine

Hello BoBunny Fans, Katherine here and I wanted to share with you a mini-book that I created using Only You and some of the wonderful dies that BoBunny has in their die assortment.

My book is a straightforward 6" square book, I cut some of the 12" paper sheets to 6 by 12" then scored in the middle and stuck the b-sides of my papers together which helps the book hold together well, I also added in little flaps for extra journalling and notes.  There are lots of photos!

For my first page I used the edge of the paper Darling and then added an angel from the Noteworthy cut apart paper.  I used the Love Squared die-cut frames for where my photos will be.

For the next page I added a flap using the Floral paper and punched along the edge, adding one of the 3 by 4" cards from Be Mine, they have some beautiful phrases, I finished it off with the lacy Sweetheart die.

The next page, and more Love Squared die cuts as well as the Happily Ever After phrase from the Ever After card dies.

I created a pocket with one of the 4 by 6" cards and added in some smaller cards for journalling and photos.

A different lift up flap for this page decorated with some natural earth lace and some of the Noteworthy pieces in the collection.

More lace, punching and pockets with hidden journal and photo spots.

This is another fold out page, and I used some of the wooden hearts which compliment the intricate die-cuts beautifully.

For this page I used the large Ornate Heart die, and I haven't properly affixed the front strip down as I want to place a large photo underneath it.

My final 6 by 4" pocket with a little Noteworthy cupid added and some jewels.

One of the beautiful phrases you can find on the cards as my last page.

I hope you have enjoyed a tour on my mini-album and it's encouraged you to sit and play with all your BoBunny dies - I start by cutting everything out and then assemble as I go and cut-out more as and when I need it.
