August is Design Team Spotlight Month!

Hey there! It's a new day, a new week, and even a new month! Why not something new and fun here on the Bo Bunny Blog too? You will really get to know our design team members as they will each have their own day in August to share a little more about themselves. Their styles, their favorites, their scrap spaces, new and old projects, whatever..... cause it's anything goes as we get a better glimpse of who they are and what they are all about. So be sure and tune in everyday for some scrappy smiles and even a giveaway or two.... or three.... or.... yeah.... don't miss out!

Here Goes!

Getting to know Shanna Vineyard.....

Hey ya'll.... I guess I get to be the lucky first one up to bat this month. I feel like I've introduced myself lots of times here with Bo Bunny.... but just like their fabulous products.... things are constantly updating and changing right? How about I start with some fun family photos? Scrapbooking, after all, is really about those "favorite pictures" we take and try to preserve for future generations right?

This is me with my good-looking red-headed husband Shane. Yes..... that's right.... it's the Shane and Shanna Show.... ha ha! Remember that cute little TV show on the Disney channel? We have our own little jingle. LOL We were married 4 years ago in December after dating a little over a year in Arizona where we met for the first time. We were one of the thousands of "online dating" success stories after finding each other on a Christian singles website. My husband used to cringe when I would tell people that. But I think he's used to it by now. Shane's daughters, Kacie and Karlie, lived in Mississippi with their Mom, so that's why we moved our family out here. To be close to them. We were very blessed that my girls, Bailee, Macey, and Cassidy, had the Dad and Step-Mom who were good with relocating too. So they live only 10 minutes away and my girls are very close to their Dad which, like I said, is a huge blessing.

It wasn't very long after we were married that we had two little blessings together to complete our large family. In case you haven't been counting, that's 7 kiddos for us. Brody, who is the spitting image of his Daddy just turned 3 years old in April and is the ONLY boy in the bunch. He's a handful most days but I'm so happy to have at least one little man! He starts soccer this month and is so excited he can hardly stand it. Daddy is pretty dang stoked as well! :)

Chloe is my little love bug. She is the icing on the cake as far as children go. She will turn two in November and is ALWAYS smiling. She has the sweetest personality and is trying to talk. Lots of new words being said every day! And of course it's hard not to dote on this little girl and her gorgeous red curls. She's a fun subject to scrap...... I'm definately a proud mama. Proud of all our kids. We are very blessed.

Okay..... rather than making this the longest post ever by going on about each one of my kiddos.... I will just share this photo of the five oldest girls which happens to be one of my recent favorites. From left to right, this is Kacie, Macey, Bailee, Cassidy, and Karlie. We made some fun t-shirts over 4th of July weekend so they had something to wear to the festivities that night. I love their shirts but mostly I love that I got a great photo of them ALL smiling! We all know what an accomplishment that is with so many faces. Hee hee.

Now...... on to some scrappy fun! I'm not very good at describing my style or definining the way I scrapbook to people. I hate putting myself into any one type of category. I tend to try all kinds of things depending on the project I'm working on if that makes sense. But one thing I can say is I love bright, happy colors and I use machine stitching and lots of dimension on my projects. I'm sure I could use a year's worth of pop-dots in just a few months time. HA!

This is a layout I created using one of the newest releases.... WELCOME HOME. I am in love with the color palette of this line and it worked perfectly to scrap this photo of my sister's family. I love layering chipboard like I did with the title here. I'm a HUGE fan of dimension on my pages so I tend to layer or pop-dot EVERYTHING! LOL Also..... if you notice the chipboard flourish coming off the photo on the right... I cut that in half so there was a straight edge along my photo. Don't be afraid to cut into your chipboard and make it fit where you need it. Add some bling or pearls to jazz it up!

Patterned Paper: Welcome Home- Welcome Home (green side)
Welcome Home- Portait (white side)
Chipboard: Welcome Home
Jewels: Welcome Home

This next project was a ton of fun! I found a coupon organizer in the dollar section at Michael's craft store and of course my crafty mind went straight to altering it! I used the new SWEET TOOTH line to cover it and make a special holder for the "Love Coupons" I will create and give my family for Valentine's Day. I know it's a bit early to be thinking about Valentine's.... most of us are just trying to get through the Back-to-School stuff right? But I try and think ahead as far as submitting some of my work for publication goes too. :)

Patterned Paper: Sweet Tooth- Sweet Tooth (dots side)
Sweet Tooth- Tempatations (stripe side)
Sweet Tooth- Yum (dots & flowers side)
Sweet Tooth- Just a Pinch
Cardstock: Double Dot Passion Fruit Flourish
Jewels: Sweet Tooth

The new FOREVER FALL line is simply amazing. If you love the richness of fall colors you will surely need to add this line to your wish list! I can't wait to play with these papers and this year's pumpkin patch photos. For now..... here's a fun card I made using Forever Fall.

Patterned Paper: Forever Fall- Dusk
Forever Fall- Nature
Forever Fall- Stripe
Chipboard: Forever Fall
Jewels: Forever Fall

Okay..... thanks for stopping by! Shall we do a drawing for some new goodies? Leave a comment on this post for your chance to win some of the new "SWEET TOOTH" line. It's my favorite of the new releases. Leave a comment..... then.... at the end of the month when all the other designers have had their day in the spotlight we will hold a drawing for each giveaway that is posted! Sound good?

Now...... here's some of my past favorites using previous Bo Bunny releases. Have a great week friends! ♥ Shanna

Same Product...Four Designers

Ever wonder what might happen if 4 designers began with the same list of products and then separately created their own design? Bo Bunny thought it would be fun to give this a try and so today, we are sharing the outcome of this little experiment with you!

Tomoko, Tara, Debbie, and Shanna were each asked to create a layout using the following supply list:
Timepiece Combo Sticker
Vicki B. 12x 12” Chipboard
Gabrielle patterned papers in Gabrielle Dot, Unwritten, Stripe, and Promenade
Ad Lib Buttons
Blast Off Wrap
Any Flourish Double Dot

It so interesting to see how each of them took this same list of products and created layouts that look totally unique and different. They each focused on different colors and embellishments but still stayed true to their individual styles. Now lets see what they came up with!

Debbie Sherman

Tara Orr

Tomoko Takahashi

Shanna Vineyard

Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you'd like to take the same challenge and create a layout using this same list of products, we would love to see! Remember you can always share your Bo Bunny projects with us on our Facebook page!

Supplies: Crazy Love Collection papers, Crazy Love chipboards, Crazy Love Noteworthy, Crazy Love Epoxy Brads, Crazy Love Layered Chipboard Stickers, Crazy Love Dimensional Stickers, Crazy Love Wraps, Crush Wraps, Double Dot Coordinating Ribbon, Noel Cranberry Rose Trim.

Design Notes: I was soooooo inspired by Irene's Crazy Love album for her daughter that she featured in our recent blog hop. It was a tough act to follow so I just made sure that I changed some bits and style to make it my own. My album is one page shorter than Irene's as I doubled the chipboard of my back cover - - works with me because of 2 reasons: 1) sturdier back cover; and 2) less papers and embellies needed as I have done 3 layouts with Crazy Love in the past, one of which is a double-pager so I have used up most of my stash already. I think this is the fastest mini-album that I have made as I stuck on a simple design formula on my inside pages aside from the fact that I used 4 pictures only. Thanks so much for the inspiration Irene!!!

You can find the whole of Irene's album here:

Tina Phillips who left this comment on Shanna Vineyard's blog:
Isn’t that issue of Scrapbooks ETC awesome???? I use sketches and scraplift quite a bit myself….but like you they are just a starting off point and I almost always veer off on my own twisted path and t...otally murder the sketch….well, at least maim it to where it is unrecognizable….lol. That's why they call it inspiration…take an idea and run with it….just don’t run with scissors….really bad idea!!! And congrats on your news!!!!!

and the facebook winner is:

Jodie Budihas who posted this:
