Layering with Black Paper Layout

Hi everyone!
Today I want to share with you a layout I made with layering different papers and using a black background. Usually I always use white cardstock for the background but I wanted the colors of the papers to pop a little bit more so with black background I think it did.

Made a layout with my mom from 2016 when we celebrated midsummer in sweden. Think this picture of here is great!
I used the sweet clementine collection and some white gesso together with some other products from the collection. see the list below!

You can also find a process video for this layout on BoBunnys youtube chanel.

I hope you will enjoy it.

Valentine Decor: Framed Piece

Hi everyone!
Today I´m back with a little valentines homedecor for you. I was thinking a long time of WHAT I wanted to do since I thought there were so many decorations in forms of lollipops, flags, pennants, festoons and so on on the internet. So I decided to make a painting to hang on the wall. Will be nice to have together with pennants and other decorations in my opinion.
So for today I have a painting for you and I really hope you will like it!
I made it black, with and pink, love these colors together and I also think it fits my home!
I used the mini alphabet punchboard to cut out the letters, black cardstock that I painted some white gesso on and also made some splatter with the white gesso. When I did the splatter I mixed it up with a little bit of water and then splatter on the painting with a brush.
Cut out the butterflies from a pattern paper from the collection and glue it on here and there.
I also made a lot of pink dots with the pearlescents blush.
And I really like it and love have it on the wall.

2019-01-09, Malin, Banner Year Calendar

Hi Everyone!
First of all I would like to wish you all a
Happy New Year!!

I will start my first blogpost for you with a calendar that I made with the Banner Year collection. I made a big book of it with pockets for storing things for each month that you just want to save. I made small cards in the pockets where you, for example, can put  some photos from the months and so on. Decorate the calendars with stickers and so on when you write in it month by month. Nice memory album to keep as the year goes by.
I really hope that you will like this little calendar.

It was really fun to make since this was the first time i made a mini album this big and in this way. I have just made very simple and small minia lbums before so it was fun doing something new!
The paper from the Banner Year collection was perfect for this project since you already have all the months and note papers on them!

There are a lot of photos but, enjoy!

Vintage Altered Wine Bottle with Solange

Hello Everyone! It's Solange Marques here on the BoBunny blog today!

When the mood to craft strikes me, I love to create unique projects using everyday items.  So, today I'll share with you an altered wine bottle I crafted using BoBunny Stickable Stencils, mixed media sprays and pastes with a few bits of the "Only You" collection.  One thing I adore about this collection is that it is full of vintage styled elements that become the inspiration of my projects.

First I've covered the bottle with BoBunny Gesso and after with a few different but similar colors of acrylic paint to give it textrue and interest. Then I've applied modeling paste using a Stickable Stencil. Then, I applied ink pad on stencil just slightly shifted so it created a kind of ghosted pattern.

I've cut out some of my favorite elements from the papers- the cherub, hearts, flowers and leaves papers which I then glued on the bottle.  Then, I used three different colors of Glimmer Spray, to give the bottle an antique feel, and just a hint of shimmery sparkle.

To finish the look, I've added a length of distressed, double metallic, wired ribbon, purposely knotted and formed for a non uniform touch.  Finally, a splash of color using BoBunny crocheted blossoms.

I've made a video to show how I've created it.

Thanks for stopping in today!  Hope to see you again!

BoBunny Supplies:

Patterned papers: Noteworthy/Only You
Stickable Stencil: Lots of Love

Be the Light-Mixed Media Layout-with Elena O

"Be the Light" Layout

Hello BoBunny friends. Elena is here today.

August is one of my favorite months, and I like it for the colors it is filled with - mostly bright colors like tan, gold, yellow and  orange.

However I love these colors in my daily life and for my today's post it was a bit of fun to use them for my layout.

faith_layout_elena_Aug22_01

I used Faith collection and it is bold and bright, full of expression.

I started with creating the layers over my 2 pictures, and since my youngest holds the large ball in his hands, it has determined the shape for the most part of my embellishments

faith_layout_elena_Aug22_02

I cut out some of the scalloped circles from the papers, as well as some doodled flowers.

Then I followed the circle theme and stenciled some of them with the glitter paste

I also played with coloring some spaces with Pentart acrylic paints.

But the main focus was this light bulb, and the phrase within it.

Down by the Sea, Mixed Media-One Layout Three Ways with Marilyn

Hello everyone! We all have different styles, some like simple things, others with more details or someone like me with lot of layers, paints and details.. I'm going to share with you today-one layout  in three ways with the new Down by the Sea collection and the new Spring stuff, let's take a look...

This is my final project with many layers, stamping, mixed media product but before that I explain all the creative process let's go to see how I started in the next picture, working backwards with me.

 #1 Way

I selected the Down by the Sea Seahorse as my base paper. Then I made a design with the chipboard and Noteworthy pieces, next I adhered the photo. It looks simple and clean.

 #2 Way

Then I added color around all the design with Pentart Delicate Metallic and blue creamy acrylic paints. After drying, I gave textures with the Backsplash Stencils and the new Pentart Stencil Paste in Ice Flower color. Finally, I added white and blue paint splatters.

To take it to the next level (#3) I stamped randomly with the Doodles stamp and added yellow paint splatter for extra textures.

I added some Blue Hues Jewels and a well placed touches of  3D Balls that I adhered with Pentart Express Glue.

I love the chipboard pieces, they look adorable and fun  and add just the right feel to this seaside layout scheme.

You can see here all the textures...
And here are the three ways...which one is your personal favorite?

Faith and Patina Effects by Pentart with Ulrika

Easter Party by Ulrika Wandler

Hi! I'm inviting you to an Easter party! I have lots of eggs and some candy for you! Let me show you what I made for the party using BoBunnys gorgeous new collection, Faith.

I would also like to show you the Pentart products to use for making a patina effect.

Easter Party Alter by Ulrika Wandler using BoBunny Faith Collection

To make the egg and the small wooden tray look aged I used these great products.

First apply a good layer of white gesso and immediately dust a very small amount Patina Effect Powder on it. The easiest technique is to load just a teeny bit of the powder on the tip of the spatula, then tap it very very gently so just a light dusting of the powder falls onto the wet gesso. It can be evenly distributed but is actually not totally necessary since the finished look is somewhat uneven when done. Use a spatula to spread the powder in the gesso, again, unevenly is best. Then use the droppers of reagents to make the final touch. There are three colors, so use some of each to achieve the right look and feel

You can watch this tutorial (after you see the rest of the blog, of course!) on how to use these products:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOM2VRufVYs

This is my egg. I added some Gold Antique Paste and Gold Glitter Paste on it once it was dry.

The wooden tray turned out perfectly, with a gorgeous antique copper patina.  Wasn't that simple and fun?

These sweet candy bags got that little extra special touch with some die cut butterflies!

This is a carrot... Can you see it? It's orange, and it has that green stuff on top. A carrot! *giggle*
