Aryia's Garden and Pentart Wax Paste with Katherine

Hello BoBuuny fans, it's Katherine here with a Fine Art's Friday post using Aryia's Garden.  The colours are gorgeous, I focused on the fuchsia and oranges in this line and used a mix of Pentart products to compliment it.

For my base, I used the grey wooden floorboard style paper - Garden Petals.  To add some texture I started with the serenity stencil and texture paste, focusing on the areas around where my photo and embellishment cluster was going to be. Next, I mixed some of my Pentart acrylics. I used a mix of cream, gold and a tiny bit of red acrylic, the gold has a lot of shimmer in it.  I watered my colour mix down and applied it more like a watercolour, creating puddles of colour and then adding in extra bits of red to get a deeper orange area, finally a few flicks of the paint across the page.  The lovely thing about these paints is that even with water you still get the depth of colour.  My final layer before the papers was a little bit of stamping using the It is Written stamp set using black ink.

To create interest in my layers, I added some die-cuts - both the new Royal die-set and 4" Portrait Frames.  I embellished these in different ways - for the Portrait die-cut I added dots of gold pearlescent, and used chameleon green wax on the lock and keys.  The chameleon waxes have a gorgeous iridescent shine to them, they work particularly well on dark colours as it really stands out.  You only need a little bit and just rub it on and you get an instant shimmer - green in my case.  I then layered and distressed my papers.  Once I was happy with the arrangement I then added some of the 3D balls - attaching them with gel-medium and then colouring them with some watered down gold pearlescent.

You can see a cluster of embellishments using a mix of the chipboard and noteworthy pieces as well as one of the die-cut keys which has some wax on it.

Faith and Pentart Lasur Indoor/Outdoor with Marilyn

Hello everyone! It's Fine Art day, one of my favorite design team assignments to do and I come today with a canvas that I made with the beautiful Faith collection, Bo Bunny and Pentart products.

I love the messages, design and colors in this collection 

and the Faith paper was my inspiration to create this canvas. Sometimes we have difficult situations in our life but not matter how hard it is or how dark it looks, we need to be strong. to have faith, to be the Light and it was my inspiration...

"Be The Light Canvas"

I started applying a coat of Penart white gesso over all the canvas. While the canvas is drying, I'm going to cut out images from the papers like the bulb, butterflies and the girl.  Then I painted the half top of the canvas in similar colors to the Faith paper and for that I mixed the Pentart Creamy Acrylic- Baroque Gold & Trumpet Flower and for the bottom of the canvas I mixed the Nimbus and Blue colors.

I create textures and a design around the bulb image with cheesecloth, the stickable Lots of Love stencil and gesso.

I also added textures on the  bottom sides of the canvas with the same stencil and the Pentart Lansur Gel in country green color. I painted one flower from the Harvest Orange Dahlia package with orange paint and put on the girl's hair.

I apply Black Crackle paste by Bo Bunny on the edges of my canvas, I wanted to see the different colors through the crackle effect.

You can see here the crackle effect that are in all the borders and it's hard to see on the photos. I stamped some words with the Be The Light Stamp on a blue paper from the same collection.

I used markers to paint her face and waterproof pen to enhance her eyes and lashes. I adhered all the images with gel medium.  Finally, I added white paint splatters over all the canvas..

Winter Wishes and Pentart Magnetic Primer Paste and Paint with Angela

Welcome to the BoBunny blog!

It's Angela with a new idea to share with you: an unconventional Misc Me project.

This is a summary of the year 2016, with the photos of the most significant moments..

What is unusual in the project is the backdrop I've used for creating it.

For my at-home project lately, I'm re-organizing my craft space and it's been ages that I wanted to make my own board.

Thanks to magnetic paint, now, I have my own personal pinning board!

It has been very fast to make, because paints and pastes dry very quickly.

First, I took an old Ikea frame, removed the glass and painted the inside cardboard with a base of magnetic paste and then magnetic paint.  I chose black color so I could also use it with chalks.

Since the result on the magnet board was dark, I painted the frame with a bright mint color. But, it wasn't enough for me, so I added gold glitter paste on one side of the frame!

For making my pins, I grabbed a few small magnets and adhere each one to a snowflake of Winter Wishes collection. Some of the snowflakes are die-cuts, others are fussy cut from Winter Wishes Snowfall paper.

A few other details, like colored brads and a handful of beautiful jewel accents, embellish and complete my magnetic board, giving it a touch of grace and style.  I love how this turned out!

I really enjoyed this Misc Me project, it's versatile and useful at the same time. Let me know if you like the idea and thanks for stopping by.

"Cooking Party" with Kiss the Cook collection

Hello My Dears! A crafty welcome to my Cooking Party post with BoBunny today!

I am not a party decorations person at all.  I usually add some flowers, balloons and good vibes to my parties and never really decorate with any proper crafting style.

So, making this post made me think about all good decorations lost in the past and how I am going to make some for the future parties. This Cooking Party should be the first!

So here is a whole bunch of projects made with Kiss the Cook, one of the new BoBunny collections. I also played with some (a lot!) of new Pentart products.  These were used especially to add colors and textures to these projects.

As you can see I made a hanging sign, a standing Home sign, a small standing sign, an altered decorated wooden kitchen board, double sided standing chalkboard and more.   I also added some tags to those cute small milk bottles that are so trendy as drinking glasses.

And now let me show you the individual projects and let's see how you can make them at home.

The hanging sign is 3 piece wooden sign that was covered with Pentart Decor Paint Primer. Then I used Lace Stickable Stencil with Structure Paste on the wood; not much is seen after the decoration, but you still can see a bit on the top corner of this piece.  After drying time I painted all three pieces with Pentart Decor Paint Soft Country Green and then covered it with Decor Paint Varnish. Again, it was more for the shiny effect as not much is seen after all.

The whole piece was embellished with Misc Me Kiss the Cook pieces, stickers from Combo stickers and a couple of flowers made with brads.

Now, here is the front side of my double-sided chalkboard.  I left the back side blank to use some chalk for my lists/recipes/etc.

This piece was already painted, but if not- Pentart Chalkboard paint works very nicely and can be used for this matter. 

I added some paper strips, made the title and added a more few stickers and a piece of foil vellum.

The smallest possible gold dots around the vellum piece and over the arrow were made with this most delicate (useful!) Gold Contour Liner.

The bare wooden kitchen board was painted in the same way as the previous piece (Primer- Dekor Paint-Varnish) and I used the same  Lace stencil over it, but again, when it was embellished, not much of the paint is seen. It just gives a nice subtle pattern overlay to complete the look.

I used paper cuts and Misc Me piece to embellish this board. The sentiment over the Misc Me card "Happiness is licking the spoon" was my inspiration for this altered old kitchen spoon.

It had light green plastic handle and was silver color that were not a good fit for my project. So with a little help of my painty friends (aka Pentart products) I changed the colors to this red and gold and the spoon was just PERFECT!

First, I covered the plastic part with Acrylic Primer and then painted in this primitive, not so accurate way, with Red Creamy Acrylic. The silver part was painted with Gold Liquid Metal paint.  Believe me, this is the best ever paint for metals! Fast dry and full coverage in just a few seconds will make any metal piece shiny gold, or silver or copper. Just pick your paint and go!

The "Home" wooden sign was painted in the same way as two previous pieces and embellished mostly with stickers. I decided to make this red dotted matting to help this light piece to stand out.

And now to the small pieces I made with some left overs that were already on my crafty table.
I added a small sticker over the black office clips and made a nice cluster for the stickers, paper and vellum.  Using BoBunny Tags dies I added  tags to those small milk bottles.
