Firecracker Is So Diverse!

Hello BoBunny Fans!

It's Denise here today to share a mixed media tag, using the Firecracker Collection and BoBunny Jewels.

Sometimes one can create different styled projects from specifically styled collections. I wanted to showcase this collection in a different light and so created this mixed media tag, using the Firecracker collection.

I also made these red blossoms using BoBunny cardstock. Below's photo give's you an idea of how I put these blossoms together.

Using some soft touches and pretty blossoms, one is able to see that this collection is really versatile and can be used in many different ways.

1 Layout 3 Ways with Firecracker!

The Patriot - 1 Layout 3 ways by Tracee Provis

Hi BoBunny fans today I am going to share 1 layout 3 ways using the Firecracker Collection

The Patriot scrapbook page Tracee Provis for Bo Bunny 1 layout 3 ways 01

For my first stage I simply layered up some of the papers in the collection. At first I had my photo as a rectangle, but then I decided to fussy cut the image out. I love doing this as it brings lots of "life" to the page. I used some letter stickers from the Genevieve and the Juliet Collection to make up my title.

My second stage I cut the blue sections from the Honor sheet, I then layered this over the Firecracker background sheet. When I create my pages I generally make the main cluster separately and just keep laying on top of my background until I achieve the look I am after, this way I was able to then lay my cluster back on top. I used the Picture This die to tuck some film reels into my page.

Stage 3 I really went all out, adding lots of Double Dot Jewels and Chipboard Stickers. Let's take a look at some close ups. I love all the different colour ways that the Double Dot jewels come in, there are pearls and gems in the packs and this gives a big diversity in the projects they can be used on

For the circle behind my photograph I used a Bo Bunny Palette Knife to spread some Transparent Gel through a stencil, when dry this gives a watermark type effect to the paper.

I snipped in half one of the border stickers on the Combo Sticker Sheet and added pearls to the centres. The layered chipboard stickers have some glitter on and this gives a great sparkle to your projects, fun embellishments and so easy to use.

I stitched all around the outside of the page and then also along the red lines of the starburst shape. I added some detail to my film reels by outlining them with a journaling pen, as you can see I was a little wobbly in some places but it all adds to the funkiness of the layout.

The Jewels also come in these swirl shapes and I cut the largest one in half and tucked it into the corners of my main cluster. I outlined the edges of the Celebrate Sticker and this time was a little steadier! I really enjoyed my time in the USA for the July 4th holiday and I hope to do it all again next year!

Thanks for stopping by the BoBunny blog today hope to see you again soon!

Getting Festive for the Fourth!

Hi There BoBunny Fans :)

With tomorrow being July 4th I thought I would share with you some party decor using the Firecracker collection!

4th July Party Decor by Megan Gourlay for BoBunny using Firecracker

I've created my table decor using the red white and blue papers from the collection - double pinwheels, wooden letters and stars, and an altered spool, with some red and white lollies :)

I've made my pinwheels with a 6x6" piece of paper for the base and the top pinwheel being 4x4" before finishing them off with using some of the layered chipboard pieces.

You can see how dimensional they are from this side view.

The letters and stars are MDF - I've painted the sides and layered paper over top, then inked the edges with the Blueberry ink pad.  On the stars I was thinking I would be clever and paint them all over with glitter paste.  It worked well with Sugar glitter paste, but I got a bit carried away on the Ruby Red paste, making it too thick and it buckled my paper :(  so the moral of that story is less is more!

I get quite a lot questions about glitter paste, particularly the Ruby Red, because it looks purple in the pot but as you can see it really is red :)

My little spool is made from a toilet roll.  I've decorated it with a mixture of layered chipboard, blossoms, ribbon, brads, and some die cutting.

Snazzy Firecracker Cards!

Firecracker Cards by Tracee Provis

Firecracker cards by Tracee Provis Bo Bunny 01

Hi BoBunny fans, today I have some cards to share that I created using the adorable Firecracker Collection. The Firecracker Collection is a wonderful line that incorporates July 4th and much much more.

Firecracker cards by Tracee Provis Bo Bunny 02

For my first card I started with a white base, then stenciled some clouds and a sun using Glitter Paste and Pearlescents.

I stamped the hot air balloons and the clock with stamps from the Dreamer set. I stamped the hot air balloons a second time onto patterned paper from the Firecracker 6 x 6 paper pad, I then fussy cut just the balloon part and layered it over the original shape.

You can use the BoBunny Pearlescents in a number of different ways, this time I used the Brilliant Blue Pearlescents and painted my cloud shapes. They have a real shimmer and you can water them down to create different shades. After they were dry I used a mixture of Lemonade and Gold Glitter Paste and the Summertime Stickable Stencil set to make my sun in the clouds.

I wish we celebrated July 4th here in England it looks like so much fun! I always make a card for my friend over in the USA and I love the little children that feature in the Firecracker collection so I decided to make him the focus of my card.

I layered up some papers from the collection and placed my fussy cut image in the centre, I used the On This Day stamp set to create my sentiment. BoBunny produces a set of Stamp Blocks, they are really great as they have a grid etched on for you to stamp your stamps exactly where you want them.

For my final card I chose one of the 3 x 4 sections of the paper and carefully cut away the white parts, this left me with a red and blue starburst that I mounted onto a slightly larger white piece. In the white parts I added a small dot of Silver Pearlescents.

I used the same technique with the balloons as I did on the first card. I cut out a small circle and added my sentiment to it, with a few more of the Silver Pearlescents to make a simple greeting. I wanted to keep this card simple but I felt it needed a little something more, so I cut some clouds from vellum using the Fly Away die. I turn to this die time after time as I love cloud shapes. Thank you for spending time with me today, see you soon!

Firecracker Mixed Media Layout!

Celebrate Scrapbook Page designed by Rhonda Van Ginkel

Celebrate Scrapbook Page featuring Firecracker Collection by BoBunny and Pearlescents designed by Rhonda Van Ginkel

Greetings, I am so excited to share with you my page today featuring the Firecracker collection accented with Pearlescents and other mixed media. I have used the "Oh My Stars" Stickable Stencil and the Sugar Pearlescents to accent the star shapes within the patterned paper here, as well as my Laser Cut Chipboard title.

Every Fourth of July we visit the same local place to watch the fireworks display. It has become a tradition for the boys to bring along a light up toy of some sort so they can entertain themselves while they wait. Last year we were playing quite a while until it dawned on me that I had not captured any photos! I'm so glad that even if the quality isn't perfect, you can at least still see some fireworks in the one photo background.

To create my textured effect for my Laser Cut Chipboard title, I first applied some Sugar Pearlescents on the chipboard using a craft mat underneath.

Once evenly applied, I coated a layer of white pearl embossing powder on top, then shook off the excess and used my heat embossing gun to emboss.

I like the extra texture and interest that it added to the Laser Cut Chipboard. Next, I used Brilliant Blue Pearlescents on the Trellis Tag behind it, but I let the pretty shine from the Pearlescents finish the tag.

I stamped a bit and randomly splattered Glimmer Spray in Gold, Sugar and Frost. I then added a few of the Silver Foil Transfers to add a bit of sparkle and shine. A few Dot Jewels were added to some of my embellishments as an accent.

1 Layout 3 Ways With Firecracker!

Hello Everyone

It's Denise here today, to share 1 layout, 3 different ways.

Mixed Media Layout by Denise van Deventer using BoBunny Firecracker and Pearlescents and Washi Tape

The first page, has a fairly clean design to it.  I did some gesso stenciling, some water colouring and stamping, along with some washi tape bits and a few accents.

On the second page, I added some die-cuts and added highlights with a white gel pen. The addition of the red die-cut pieces, just seemed to make the page pop.

On the last page, I added yet more stamping, stenciling with pearlescents and more accents, along with some journaling.

I guess the key to styling, is sometimes knowing when to stop and that "enough is enough".

Here are some close-ups of the clusters and details.

This photo was taken a few years back and is of my son, who was playing around with these sunglasses.  He was trying to look very cool and then eventually the sunglasses did not sit correctly over his nose and so I got this cute shot! ;-)

Whatever your style, that's the great thing about scrap booking, you can add as little or as much as you want.  It's all up to you! ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by the BoBunny blog today.  We hope to see you back soon.
